I'm having a hard time saving grass. I need some help on how i can save it and be sure not to spend it all on cobblestone like last time. I'm at school so i wont be able to respond instantly. TEACHERS BEHIND ME HELP
Do you mean saving grass on the island you start out with or do you mean save grass for purchasing things? If it is the first leave one block of grass and allow it to grow down to other dirt blocks. If it is the second then the easiest way is to not buy cobblestone and harvest it yourself. This advice probably fails if you are trying to build a very large build that requires a lot of cobblestone. In order to do that you need a cobblestone generator.
1. Vote on all 3 sites. This gets you 3 grass and vote keys which will get you basic stuff like cobble etc. 2. Find something that you can sell at a rate that is competitive. Drogo recommends farming nether quartz. Anyone can do it but those with lots of grass are often happy to buy it. 3. Aim for top voter. If you get this you can buy sky king rank which gives you a kit with grass and other basic items every 3 days.
There's a couple different strategies you can go with. What I did when I was first getting into the new server. Set minimum amounts of grass you don't want to go beneath. Starting out, say something like "I don't ever want to have less than a stack of grass". Save up a stack of grass, keep it in a safe chest, and don't let yourself spend that stack. Over time, try to save more, and set your goal higher and higher. First setting minimums at stacks of grass, then single chests full of grass, and eventually double chests of grass. This method still requires some self-control, but it helps a lot if you set yourself these arbitrary goals. My real-life saving method. Save a set portion of your income. In real-life, I'd set rules for myself, like "for every $100 I get, I will set aside $20". Applying this to Skyblock, you'd do the same with grass from voting, kits, and any trading you do. If you want to be ambitious, you can say you want to save half of all grass you get. You'd keep half in your enderchest or an easily accessible chest, which would be used any time you want to buy stuff. The other half, you'd put in a secure chest, ideally a bit more out of sight and out of mind. This way, you can still go around buying stuff, but you also continue to save grass, and over time build up more and more in your save area. You just have to have the self-control not to dip into these savings unless it's for a large, important purchase that you think will ultimately be beneficial. Overall, just try to find some way to separate what you want to save from what you're willing to spend. Don't be over ambitious with how much you want to save, otherwise you may find yourself dipping into your savings more and more and pushing your savings down.
Drogo wasn’t comparing the value of ‘other things in life’. Drogo was comparing the value of school and skyblock grass. Drogo stands by his comment.
To add to the list that’s already been mentioned: After voting, use /vp to see when the next vote party is. Here you will get a random assortment of voting items delivered to your inventory - this includes grass. Look out in chat for the reaction game called ‘skychat’. You’ll see it either says “Hover for word to type,” or “Hover for word to unscramble.” The reward for being first to answer is a block of grass.
To get grass: /vote, Trade. and more. To save grass: (I use to be REALLY bad at saving grass, wasted a dc on random rares and stuff like that xD) Try aiming for a goal. Like a Single chest or a Double chest. It'll motivate you more or try and save to buy a specific item.
Your comments, grammar and spelling show the importance of schooling better than Drogo ever could. In an attempt to argue against Drogo’s statement, you’ve somehow managed to validate it. Anyway, we’ve gone off topic. If you’ve got any tips on gathering grass then please share them.
When I was unranked, running a shop was my main source of income. Though I didn’t realize I sold things people didn’t really need because it was abundant or easy to obtain. But I guess it helped out new people who didn’t realize that either. But because of my advertising, different people visited me, even some nice popular people who donated to me in my hopper.
Doing inter-server trades from a server you don't reallyplay on (eg. skyblock - economy, economy - skyblock, classic -economy) is half decent.

Save up like $20 in real life, mow the lawns, do the dishes, clean your room haha. Then ask around if any1 would swap a Skyblock giftcard for grass with the $20 your earned. If you ask really polity you could potentially get stacks upon stacks of grass for the $20 giftcard from the more, wealthy players hehe. Remember, $1 = 64 Grass Iv done a deal for $29 for 30 stacks before and heres hoping you can too. Goodluck!
Because he's Drogo and Dothraki. This only works if you come from a privileged family. Back when I lived with my mom, I couldn't play video games unless I did all those things + laundry first. You can mow other people's lawns, trim bushes, and shovel driveways for tips, though
