Well, dang. I haven't made a thread post in so long. I haven't really been actively on the server(s) in a while. I hop on to give my kits or collect some things and chat with new and old players. A couple days ago I hopped online to see who was still kicking it on the server and not many old or really active chatters were online so I hopped my way over to economy where I saw a familiar name, CaveManBen. I remember Ben for his trolling and toxicity, however he's a good kid. I couldn't talk to him on the server due to his past mistakes before. In 2019, in the month of February he was banned for doing something wrong, I don't care why or what he did wrong at all. My focus is that 7 months later, under conditions to play the server again, he's to be permanently muted. This is unfair in so many ways. The server is as good as it is because of the huge amount of players you get to communicate with. In my opinion, my favorite part of the server(s) is the community and how fun it is to talk to people. Being cut of permanently is stupid, even if past mistakes were a thing. We all make them and stuff just happens. Even just talking to him a little bit, I can see very well that he's not the same person he once was and I really dislike the fact that he cannot even communicate with players in an economy server other than using signs and a stupid book. That's just really not fun or cool. He's appealed and he keeps getting denied the privilege to start over. I don't know how active people are on forms anymore or even if this will help him or the situation. However, keeping someone muted is wrong. If you're going to accept his appeal you should accept it without conditions and if he messes up again then just ban him again, he's been back for 3-4 months now and has had a good reputation as far as I can tell. I'm making this in hopes to possibly get support from the fellow Minecraft players in this community, so please if you feel as if this is fair or unfair, please voice your comments down below. Happy New Year. - Dew #Ben4Unmute
I am an old player just like you, but I disagree. He has already made an agreement with 52 for the possibility of his mute to be removed in a months time on his last appeal (28th December). He has 18 days to keep up his good behaviour and he may have the chance of being able to speak again, this post does not help him, if anything, it makes matters worse. In no way is it to make things worse if you read my whole thread it explains that. I am aware he was told to appeal again next month. Thanks for your input.
Hi, This is a really nice post about someone who I guess you care a lot about, but iv seen some people who have said some BAD things in chat. That I think should of have been consequences in there real life haha.from there parents maybe,(im kidding... kinda) I think being able to play skyblock without using chat AT ALL is a bit cruel because I don't think I would have the same enjoyment of playing as I would without chat. I do agree that the person shouldn't banned from chat forever but Im also not sure what a lawfully/justice punishment would be, because I get that it may of been a long time ago and that he has changed his ways of thinking and showing maturity, I wouldn't want anyone to get away with just a slap on the wrist if you know what I mean. In conclusion, I believe anyone should be aloud to talk in chat with there being only temporary bans.
If you read it, it says he was banned for 7 months and muted for over 4 months. I think that’s a bit more then a slap on the wrist.
Hmm, yes I agree, he's not someone I care a lot about, but it's more so just me placing myself in his shoes. It's been little over 7 months since his offense(s). Thank you. I agree and disagree, some players out there deserve a perm-ban, for sure, however if they change and clearly have changed it would be quite nice to have them back as long as that person behaves. Perm -mutes are retarded if I am being quite honest. If someone appeals, they shouldn't be perm-muted if their appeal is accepted. That's not the point of an appeal.
Well you better remember me, or we may have a problem, lol. I'm doing quite well, I am finally moving out on my own from my mothers home. I'm doing adulting to the max. How've you been?
You don't remember me lmao. I was reading through my old mod app and saw your replies on it, needless to say it makes me go red reading that whole application. Hope everythings doing well Archie's [MOD] Application [NET] [NEW] | Skyblock Forums
Haha I never imagined anyone would. I think I grew up a little, came back to here recently. It’s good fun to look back on old times
Heya Dew, it's been a few (years). What's up? And I'm aware of that situation. Since I don't exactly know the whole story behind it I can't say exactly where my opinion lies. He seems like a nice person, good to talk to about some things, while he can be on the other hand slightly immature or whatever there's always a good side. I'd have to say I agree with the fact that he was treated unfairly, as I was perm-banned twice in the span of 2 months, yet I'm still able to fully play without the restriction of a mute, whatever. My status shows how I feel about a lot of the recent bans, some I have a good sense of what is right and what is wrong, others, not so much. I do know however that neb over there should at least have an appealable ban, not an outright permanent one. He did play a role in a major grief, but like everyone says, everyone learns from their mistakes. It's 8:30am, I haven't slept and if the writing is sloppy understand that I'm currently braindead. thanks
Thanks Dew, it was nice to know someone was supporting me through this. I don’t think I am in a position to say whether or not this thread should be locked but, yeah, I am unmuted/banned so thanks heaps for your support
Ofc I remember you lol. Im happy you're gonna adult to the max, im still stuck in my parents house till I transfer to a 4 year uni LOL
