Hi Lemo, I logged back in for one last time. Anyways, you most likely have a firewall or anti-spyware software on your computer that thinks mc is a harmful program. My guess is it's most likely Norton or AVG because those are probably the worst anti-spyware programs out there. There's a chance you don't have any installed, but that's the only logical explanation I can see, aside from it being a physical problem with an Ethernet cord, or wifi receivers in your computer. Or your ISP is just a pos.
I have had Norton ever since I have gotten Skyblock over a year ago, and I am also just having this peoblem ever since this week. Will it be fixed on its own or do I have to deinstall Norton to play Skyblock now. Omg 1kth message
Unfortunately, my firewall is turned off, and I have no anti-spyware programs installed. I tried flushing the cache on my computer, and this came up, though: Can someone please explain why I can't enter the admin password? e.e I'll try to use minechat and see if I have ping lag using wifi.
Well if Norton just put out a s*** update that thinks MC is spyware that would explain why it happened to both of you. You could wait for them to put out a new update and hope it gets fixed, or you could uninstall Norton and get a better anti-virus. PS, the guy who created Norton anti-virus is currently serving a lifetime prison sentence in jail for fraud. So I really don't have the highest opinion of their anti-virus.
Okay, so it's apparently my wifi because I used Minechat with the wifi, and the ping went up to 1542ms.
what about with data? you mean uninstall an update? I don't really know, but seeing how Norton has gone downhill for the past few years, I doubt it.
Download speedtest on your phone and test it there. More accurate than minechat will be. When you're trying to enter the password are you in a command prompt, terminal or whatever they call it on mac OS
Aight there's your problem. Check your router settings and make sure you're set to a WPA2, and that you don't have port forwarding on.
Terminal I have the speedtest, and it has a ping of 20ms with download 15.2 mbps It's still bad on data too though ;s
Lemo, these are two completely different systems. If it's 300ms most likely you're just trying to connect to a far away server or your service is just total crap. 1500 means there's actually something wrong
I know literally nothing about connection and things of that sort, so yeah When I'm on LTE, it seems to be bearable to the point where I can actually play Minecraft without timing out. When I go on wifi, the ping goes up to 1500. I only used Terminal because I thought it was the computer, but it turns out that it's not. The weird thing is it's only on Minecraft multiplayer. If I go on other games on steam and PS4 using wifi or Ethernet, there is no issue Still pretty bad. I went on other servers, and the max I got was 600ms. I didn't continue playing due to it being so awful that I couldn't bear it.
