Ok ok ok the grouped mod app was a GREAT idea. If it weren't for the snitch that ruined the operation, I would've loved to join...

Gee mods it would be a shame if someone did something like this again, now would it?

Yes it would be a shame if someone else did it, but they don't seem to care about the possibilities of danger it causes so let them
Actually they sort of do. That's what they'll force scammers or looters or griefers to do before even getting thought of of being unbanned, refund the victimed player. No I guess you're right it's not a forced job they must do, but at the same time is. I'm excited for your opinion tomorrow or later.

Yes, I agree to that but i'm saying that the mods do not have to do it. Go on the mod criteria and see what I am talking about.

Actually there is no mod criteria. There is mod applicant criteria which is the lowest of the low to apply for mod, not actually to mod. There aren't actually mod rules out there that I'm aware of anyway and they're just 'known' by mods.

Of course. No need to answer the questions anyways if you don't want to. All I wanted from this thread was a decent augment about the topic.

Well the thing is, people want to be mod to have the power to help better than saying things in chat. Unlike Stel, you and your friends some people genuinely care about the servers well-being and want to help prevent the server from losing players because of the bad side of things. If they were just to mini mod instead of applying then all that player would hear is "blah blah blah you're such a mini mod." Everyone treats the word mini mod as if it's an insult to want to help people out.
The whole point of players saying "Message me if you need help" is because they don't have the mod tag to let players know they can be of help. No mod just "sits" there. They kick, mute, ban, etc. Just because their chat stops doesn't mean they stop. As many mods have said on multiple occasions, a lot of the moderating goes on outside of chat. Mods are constantly working hard and helping. It's a shame many of you guys refuse to believe they work for the good of the server and refuse to actually praise them for a job well done. You only complain when they do their job against you then when you don't see them do anything you complain about them not doing their job.

Make up your mind. You either want them to do their job or you want them to not.

Essentially (in a few cases), Mod makes someone feel productive in a way. Youngins cant get a job yet until they are of age. So until then, this position in a game gives them a taste of what a job is like. Which also helps the server maintain itself from ones greedy desire to be useful. Nobody wants to be a tool forever, you know?

I thought that was the 2 options of being popular or more power. Also, Sorry for that disrespectful comment that I said, I have deleted it due to it being a false statement.

Great reply like I wanted tho I disagree with one point you said that I don't appreciate what mods actually do. No, many times even in this thread I've pointed out the good work mods have done for this community you being one of them I'd even say, but there are definitely some that aren't doing their jobs properly. No I don't hate every mod, and I feel like you I do with what you're saying. Ive probably complained about a moderators abuse in one occasion?

I do love the points you make though, just don't complete understand the huge jump people want so bad in this place.
Again more great points to be taken in to consideration.

No this thread isn't saying not to apply for mod. It's saying how can I be unique as a mod? Not following the same old same old.

If someone truly aspires to be popular on minecraft/minecraft facebook, then they might as well try to regain their dignity with the 'mod' tag. I wonder what motivated you to attempt to snatch mod on an alt, I feel as if that should answer your question.

Read thread. Read the voy thread. Read my appeal. That answers my motives.

But ya your first point is accurate.

Thats too much work regarding a topic im not particularly interested in. Hopefully you've made valid points though, and managed to explain yourself without triggering half of the community.

13-15 y/o it's fun, the game was designed for them
19-20+ y/o nothing better to do, in some special cases like myrm or grey sage it's something else that I can't place my finger on. But mostly if your above 19 playing this... take a walk or something.
