A Guide to Economy's Best Tool
An in depth guide on how to obtain crop hoppers and how they work for you, to make obtaining money easier.

    What is a crop hopper?
Crop Hoppers are a unique block on the economy server that can be purchased in different levels to auto harvest and sell crops within a minecraft chunk. They require no redstone or fences to work. The crop hoppers work on Cactus, Sugarcane, Wheat, Pumpkins and Melons.

    How to get started?

    1. Purchase a crop hopper from /shop (under the hopper icon) or /crophopper. Alternatively Crop Hoppers can be obtained from Crates or other players.
    2. Place a crop hopper within the same minecraft chunk as your crops you wish to harvest.
    3. Profit!
That's easy, right? Well crop hoppers do have some limitations as well as different levels to choose from.

    The Different Levels of Crophoppers:

There are 3 main differences between the 3 levels of Crop Hoppers:
    1. Price which is how much it costs to buy the Crop Hopper.
    2. Harvest is what crops that the level of Crop Hopper can collect.
    3. Finally, the limit is how quickly the Crop Hopper can harvest the crops per second.
    Level 1:
    • Price: $20,000
    • Harvests: Cactus and Sugarcane
    • Limit: Collects 1 item per second
    Level 2:
    • Price: $50,000
    • Harvests: Cactus, Sugarcane, Wheat
    • Limit: Collects 2 item per second
    Level 3:
    • Price: $80,000
    • Harvests: Cactus, Sugarcane, Wheat, Pumpkins and Melons
    • Limit: Collects 3 item per second

    The Tax:

Crop Hoppers seem to have no downsides, right? Well that is until taxes comes in. For each active crop hopper you get taxed 1% of your earns from the crops up to 32%, taxes happen every Minecraft day where as revenue is paid per minute. If you don't have enough money to pay the taxes it will disable the Crop Hoppers. (Credit to skylandia)

    What else to know?
    • Only 1 Crop Hopper can be placed per chunk.
    • Crop Hoppers do go towards your hopper /limits.
    • They do not require silk touch to be broken.
    • Crop Hoppers can not be renamed as this will break them.
    • The chunk MUST be loaded and the player who placed them must be on for them to work.
    • Crop Hoppers do not stack with normal hoppers.
    • You can upgrade Level 1 or Level 2 crop hoppers by holding it in your hand and doing /crophopper for the difference.
    • Due to the limit and what it can harvest then Level 3 is the go to crop hopper, even when starting out.
    • Sugarcane and moss only work with crop hoppers as the sugarcane will not grow other wise.

Thank you for reading this guide! Hopefully it will help you become rich on the Eco Server. Thank you to Megan for creating the orignal Guide

You don’t need to break the cropper to display the chuck boundary. Just a single left click is all that’s required.

Yes. Losses to taxes are far greater than losses to clag.
