You cutting out your plastic waste would help more than going vegan. Start using reusable straws and cups. You’ll cut down a ton of waste. Going vegetarian or vegan won’t save animals. Our waste consumption is more of a threat than anything. This is an image I took of a squirrel stuck in a milk shake cup, that someone failed to throw away. People eat meat and always will eat meat. Whether you eat it or not, animals will still be butchered. Is there ways to fight and help them live a decent life before being slaughtered, maybe. However you’ll never stop animals from being harvested. 05C913C8-16B8-4400-8178-806D5BE57CE1.jpeg

Personally, I'm not ever going to be vegetarian or vegan. I only buy meat from trusted sources, my grandparents run a small sheep farm and make sure that all the animals there are treated very well. We run hourly checks on all the newborn lambs and if they are ill we make sure that they get the help they need. We never take a lamb away from its mother. Ever. The examples that are given here show farming at its absolute worst, and it's very uncommon for this to happen. Only buy from trusted sources and it should be fine. Also, I'm allergic to nuts so I could come across some problems with getting protein.

Wade you are legit my favorite person on skyblock now. This is actually a very interesting topic and if you knew what was going into your foods, you would not want to eat it. I went vegan for 3 months then dropped down to vegetarian because going vegan is a big commitment however, it can be done. Anyways I went vegetarian for around a year then I needed the meat for protein and muscle during wrestling season but now I am back to a vegetarian. Next, the plump these chickens up with so many hormones to make them bigger. They put pestasides and other horrible chemicals on the grass, then the cows eat the grass and they have those chemicals in them. What happens when they milk the cows? those pestasides and chemicals go into the milk then people buy the milk and are drinking it. Don't drink regular milk, drink Almond Milk it's much better for you and is made from almonds :) As far as the slaughter goes, the animals get treated horribly. I've seen some pretty horrific videos and if you saw it, then you would be shocked to. What if you were an animal? What if that animal was you? You think it's okay to slaughter and kill animals but it's not okay to kill pets? What if your pet was getting slaughtered. I'm sure if you were an animal you wouldn't want to get clobered. Meat is actually extremely bad for you especially RED MEAT. Guess what? you can replace meat with other protein sources auch as peanuts, protein shakes, tofu, and satan! Also, there are more and more people becoming vegetarian and vegan so to all the haters out there, you are 100 percent wrong about whatever you say in animal products. Leave the animals be and find decoys. Meat is being handled very unsanitary, there are a lot of people touching the meat before you eat it andnit can infect/contaminate other foods you eat. Just wanted to inform you all and OfficerWade is 100 percent right! See the change, Be the change.

I find it surprising that more animals (not just ones w commonly use) die because of plastic pollution in the oceans. There's legit a "plastic island" in the middle of the pacific and a lot of animals are eating it, which then get eatten by animals higher in the food chain till it reaches our tables. It's not just plastic in the ocean, there's plastics contaminating different parts of the land and animals who are around the area are ingesting it. As they get eaten by other animals higher in the food chain, the amount of plastic stays or gets higher till humans come in contact with it. Its remarkable that people are avoiding this and are saying "Go vegan or go vegetarian" instead of doing something about plastics in the environment.

Do you have an idea of how much water is wasted in the process of making tofu?? Kids are dying of dehydration in other countries.

I live in the UK where quite a lot of things related to food are prohibited by the EU. Idc what you say about America having pesticides and stuff in milk, I'm never going to drink almond milk (mostly because I could die from it but also because it's clean here). Yes animals have lives too, but like for example lions it's natural to eat meat. Also the videos and images on here can be very disturbing, like Krissy said, so please put in the title "May be distressing for some people".

This. This exactly. It’s great certain people on this thread want to go vegan, but we can’t have everyone go vegan.

“Where can I get protein” SESAME SEEDS. Meat is not the only source of protein. There’s so many options.

“I’ll keep eating meat” great, enjoy your meat.

“Don’t push veganism” I wasn’t pushing veganism, I was simply staying in order to possibly persuade those who are troubled by eating animal products!!
