Some mods just act like they own everyone and the fact that u can buy mod for $5.00 is crap because he could be a scammer
Staff reports are entertaining. Like, most of the time the player complains about the staff making a joke or something >~>
There is Behavioral theory called Optical conditioning, In short terms, people will do, what people see, Yes what you do is only small, but there is younger kids that will see you doing something "small" and then think that's the normal, And then when you see them do things they will get into the trouble, from the mod who only 5 mins ago was doing it them selves Yes things are small, But mods need to set an example. Sorry Btw im training to be a teacher, and they are teaching us all about behavioral theories etc
honestly if i kicked someone for caps and spam or something of the sort, and then they come back to rant about the kick in caps and spam, I'd probably kick them again, lmao.
I don't think moderators should joke around in the global chat. There are 8 years olds playing the server, and moderators are the role models for them. If they see moderators joking around, they will think that behaviour is normal and not against the rule. Then they will start doing that and eventually get banned for it.
Agreed. Moderators need to set a good example for the type of behavior we expect from players. If we are kicking them for swearing or sexual references, then we shouldn't be using that kind of language ourselves regardless of whether or not it's a "joke".
What Moon and Kera said. Basically moderators aren't above players. It's important for moderators to realise that even the smallest joke can be taken out of context, and that due to their position the consequences are greater.
The problem with that is that there are like 8 year old newbs that go and same stupid stuff like "lmao" or "f u" or "idgaf" to other people irl and guess where they learned that? Yup, they learned that from a 25 year old moderator that uses that vocabulary daily. Thats like the only problem with saying stuff like that (this does NOT excuse myself at all ;})
Preach, although some people do make reports for the smallest things and that's not necessary, people learn from examples and joking around is fine until it goes to far.
yes, I understand that. Those are just internet trolls that eventually get banned one way or another. 90% of the time there really is nothing wrong and the person really needs to chill.
Sadly so true. There's penalties for making false or pointless reports though, which people often ignore.
