That's very good advice. I rebuilt my entire island from scratch over the weekend thanks to some schematics I'd saved, and I used the opportunity to make some improvements as well. But my island isn't that impressive and my buildings are mostly made of materials that are relatively easy to come by. In contrast, some players' builds are made with materials that are much harder to obtain, such as quartz, and I've seen some islands that have been terraformed using a *lot* of grass. Sxrge even has an enormous Eiffel tower on his island made from hardened clay. For players like them, rebuilding wouldn't be a simple matter of firing up Schematica. I can't even imagine how places like cloudshop or skymal would rebuild, let alone ever stock up again. I know it might not really matter to anyone else, but it would probably matter a lot to them. Wotsit, get your head out of the clouds mate. The restart would clear lag. If players leave and rage quit, then that is great, it means they are moving on in life. Resets happen, and it's up to the owner, not you to do it. Whether there is a reset or not, players will quit. Difference is, there are some players that would come back if there was a reset. Edit: TheEpicWotsit I rated it dislike, because he wasn't post farming. A lot of what you do lately is done without considering everything.

I could care less if this server dies. I am here for the people. Right now a server reset will clear all the islands that are unused. I am trusted on at least 50 islands that have been abandoned. Right now the reset would help the lag that we have. If people leave over the reset, then they aremt loyal to the server. But what is more important? This game server, or people getting on with their lives? You are taking this game server way too seriously.

The clearing islands thing could be done without an entire restart that would destroy the remaining player base. That's irrelevant point Number 2. Skyblock is already dying; the community and other issues with the server is already killing the playerbase. Skyblock needs a reset to fix some of it's bugs and issues. It would help greatly. I don't know if you realize this, but players come and go. They come, they grow up and realize there is more to life than a video game, and move on. It's a repeat process, as old players leave, new players come. Unfortunately with the issues skyblock has, new players don't stay entertained for very long and end up leaving to go play on another server. This reset would fix some things, meaning new players would be more likely to stay on the server. So if you care about the server, you would consider that this reset would cause a benefit. Yes, it could be. But look at it from the POV of a male server owner in his 20s: You already have life outside of you server, and now your players want you to remove islands without resetting. This would require you to manually remove each island one at a time, and who knows how many abandoned islands there are. This would take a lot of time. Or you could reset, and all the islands would be wiped, and there would be a fresh start. Lag issues won't be as bad anymore. In my opinion, I would pick the restart because it's much faster and more efficient. There will be new players if old ones quit over some reset. This is coming from a player who is freaking out about the server dying, and said this: You used capital letters, and exclamation marks at the end of the two latter sentences. Both of which involve the server dying. I would say you take this game server more seriously than you realize. heh, you really don't know anything kid. The very second I speak my opinion, several people become instantly offended. It's not that I like starting arguments, it's that people can't take my criticism. They get butthurt so easily when I tell them they are wrong. Instead of considering my advice and the possibility of them being wrong, they get all triggered and upset at me saying that I'm being rude. This is how immature kids and teens act in response to being told they are wrong and being given criticism. This is nothing new. The rating was my decision for reasons you won't understand. It's just a pixelized rating that I gave you over the internet. Again, if you aren't taking things seriously, then why do you freak out everytime I give you a rating?
