I like your idea on a skyblock reset because: 1) as you said it removes inactive islands 2) frees up server space 3) creates new islands that are better than old ones 4)Reduce lag a lot. So instead of spending hundreds of dollars on new equipment, why not reset it and save hundreds of dollars in months
Do you want this time to be worthless and wait for everyone to stop playing including yourself because of the lag, or reset before you quit so that you can watch the server come back from the dead?

"Might take some time" it's a good point, but it's Cyp remember. He's a good man and all, but the amount of 'available time' he has is slim...
650,000+ islands in total. Good luck. I had this discussion in chat on server. There is approx 0.001% of islands that aren't inactive, let's say 200people play at max per day, that means there could be around 800-1000 that log in every week, these numbers are people that log in at least once per week etc. that's 649,000 inactive island n_n.
Theres a chance but, after the reset the number of islands will start to gain again. I believe that this is not a good time to have a reset for one more reason, some players quit after the reset due to their stuff being taken away and their islands as well.
Honestly, I don't think I'd stick around. I'm not very good at the whole getting rich thing, and the little stuff and nice little house I have now is only because of the kindness and help I've received from others. I don't really WANT to start over. That being said, if my friends stuck around, I'd probably still be online. Because I'm not loyal to the server itself, I'm loyal to some of the people in it.
