Skyblock Ratings Information

SKYBLOCK RATING SYSTEM
All users will have access to the Skyblock rating system once 25 post ratings have been achieved on the forums. Please ensure you read this thread as staff members may revoke your permission to rate posts should you be found abusing them.

WHAT IS RATE ABUSE?
Rate abuse can be defined in multiple instances, people shouldn't be rating other posts for the sake of giving them the rating or to help them achieve trophies. Ratings are here to be used meaningfully. The general rule is that you should aim to not give out more than 3 ratings to the same person within a short period of time - determined by staff. Staff will also decide whether accidentally rating someone's posts more than 3 times in this short period is alright - it depends on the content and the specific scenarios.

WHEN YOU SHOULD NOT RATE SOMEONE:

• Rating someone with the intention of giving that user a trophy is not allowed. For example a user would need 2 more positives, you should not give them 2 positives for the sake of them hitting that trophy unless you have a good reason to rate it.
• You should not rate things that you do not feel that way about, this is also called abuse. You shouldn't give out any negative ratings without the post having a need to be negatively rated.
• Rate abuse can also be done without giving out ratings yourself, this could be in the scenario that you are asking for ratings or likes, such as on statuses. This is called rate farming, which is a form of abuse.
• Rating only one person repeatedly will be seen as abuse.

WHAT COULD HAPPEN?
Skyblock uses a system where you will be given different punishments depending on history and severity of the situation. Most first time offences will be a verbal warning but failure to use the ratings correctly may result in a removal of your overall permissions to rate.
