You cannot force everyone to play skyblock. The players are having fun.

Yes, the server is changing, deal with it. You can't force people to play skyblock, they can do what they want to do.

I have never heard from like 4 new Tmods, only seen their comments on forums but does it hurt to get to know them? If it does, I'd look into that a bit closer. Well, if the Skyblock is the "everyone cares how rich they are and don't care if anyone needs help" then 1. Why does moderator applications get supports, it can even contain "You help a lot" 2. Why don't you be the one and only that doesn't care and help the players in need?

If you don't know players of as you say you never heard if the tmods, why don't you get to know them then , it's all about making friends, of course people are going to leave, it's life, things change, it's life, nothing ever stays perfect, otherwise it would be to easy.

Just adjust to the changes and make new friends, it'll help you enjoy yourself more.

Change is life. As time moves forward, so must all the little pieces in the world. As the world changes, people will leave skyblock and people will come to skyblock. This wasn't a sudden change, the mods that left for the most part, did so gradually, as I'm sure the old players leaving did.

What happens when you cling so hard to the past, instead of embracing the change, and letting yourself be changed in small part, is that one day you wake up and everything you know is different. It didn't happen over night, but you were too busy living in the past to notice.

Change isn't bad, but it can be scary.

As for the annoying trends you mentioned, they were always there... it was just different trends. Perhaps trends you were part of at the time so you didn't notice. Just because you don't particularly like them, doesn't make the people who do, bad people, or any less of a player.

Personally, I chat on org... though I also spend a lot of time doing things on my island. The things I do may not be considered "playing skyblock" by you, but guess what, skyblock (and minecraft in general) is kind of a game you can make your own. If you like survival, you survive... if you like building, you build... and if you like chatting with others in multiplayer, you chat with others in multiplayer.

If you don't want to participate in the chat, and only trade, you're welcome to do that. Chat is easy enough to ignore or you can even turn it off (though, that would basically just be singleplayer then). But why try to bring down the fun of others just because it's not what you want to do? Seems a little selfish if you ask me.

There's nothing wrong with the servers. They may be different then they once were, but let me give you a little life tip, things that don't evolve and change, they do die. Ask businesses that refuse to change, and cater only to their regulars... you can't, they don't stick around long.

For the most part, people still like skyblock in some form or another or simply put, they wouldn't be here. Skyblock will never be what it was as time moves forward, not back. But it's good now too.

And as per usual, I typed way too much. But there it is.

I guess I do understand the point you are trying to make. Most of the 250-400 donors tend to just chat and seek rares(This doesn't apply to everyone, I know some of you do play). Many people have "completed" their islands so they feel like playing isn't necessary anymore. Several players have told me that they are now bored of Skyblock shortly after completing their island. Others have left the community and server for that reason. I personally lost interest in the community for a while because that is also what I did, just chat and not play.

I never actually completed my island. Reason being is that getting resources is damn hard for the things I wanted to build. Like many other fellow players said, Skyblock is not dying. There is a new generation of Skyblockers. Many of the old Skyblockers and Moderators have left. We can't expect for people to maintain interest in the community forever.

I said it once I'll say it again.
Things will change. Do you know how different things were in late 2012? You might, you might not. I've been here long, I've seen these changes, I don't care about them, because it changes for the better and for the worse.
It'll always change, anything and everything. No way to avoid it, it's life, if you can't accept that, I have no words.

Yes I agree that Skyblock is changing but not quite dying.
There are things that I do dislike about the change but I do quite like this change at times.
    What I don't like is:
The amount of people spamming and yes using so many shortened terms and abbreviations. The time when I used them was when I was 6 using something called MSN (Oh the memories XD) I feel as it does not make much of a difference in effort for the chat to look pleasant.
Oh and the amount of new donors there are... Recently there have been too many new donors to even keep up with and yes I am happy they are keeping the server alive but I do not understand why they donate after playing for 30 minutes.
    I like:
The new people coming. I have always been able to make friends with new players easier than those that have been here a long time. I always like to help the new players, yes sometimes I do like talking to those that are donors and been here a while but I feel as if they talk to me ruder. I enjoy the feeling when a green bean thanks me repeatedly after I have helped them.

This is my opinion. I'm kind of in the middle and it doesn't bother me too much that the community is changing. A lot has changed in the year I have been here but I guess that Skyblock will always be the same. To me it's just me and my skyblock, sometimes the chat gets in my way but I enjoy farming, collecting and building. It's the only server I play on anymore
