Here's a thought: what about, if they start griefing you in front of your eyes (which would need to occur for you to kill them reasonably anyway), instead of killing them, why not just start taking a video and if you don't have the means, start spamming that F2 button? This way, you have the proof needed to handle everything right away, without all this other nonsense mixed in.

 

If they refuse to leave, and you threaten them with you killing them and they still do not leave. It was their choice to stay and lose all their items

Ok, that clears a lot up. But their is still the fact that, like me, I have nothing to record them with and I cannot download anything to Screenshots lag out my mc and crash it so thats bad, and lets say no mods are on. What do I do?

 

You could take screenshots with a mobile device and upload them to your PC, there are some people who do this but up to you, I could understand why some wouldn't like this. An alternative would be downloading a screenshot application and using that instead of MC's built in one. I use Lightshot, there's also Gyazo but the problem I have with that is you can only view the last 5 screenshots you took unless you pay a monthly fee. Let me know if any of this helps

 

I think the key here is "within reason". Also take lots of proof. Screenshot yourself asking them to leave multiple times. Screenshot yourself asking a mod to TP them away. Screenshot the fact that there's no mods on. Screenshot them moving around while ignoring your request.

The issue with TPs is that there was a period where players didn't have a choice, especially during the period where Skybase was down and they didn't have a place to trade. Or when skybase reverted to the old skybase which was essentially open trading with chests.

Just wait patiently for a mod to come on. If you've been waiting for hours on end and this player is still on your island, getting in your way and he doesn't leave after you've told him many times to then you should be allowed to kill him; in my opinion.

 

It's logic that if they grief your island and have your items, you'd rather have them gone than taken away to someone else island. Support

 

No support . How I see it , this is the ultimate way to grief someone . Example : I invite you to my island to trade a beacon for 40 diamonds , you get on my island , I kill you and say you tried to grief me , now I have a beacon and 40 diamonds .... how can you prove the beacon is yours ? you cant , how ca you prove that I kill you ? you cant . This wont work and will only bring problems . Trade in a public place like skybase instead .

 

In my opinion, this would just end up making a lot of people mad, because of some of the reasons that most of you have stated, sorry, no support.

Yes, but then we get the complaint that someone was killed, we go to the person who did the killing and we'll get "He was griefing me." It'll cause a lot of conflict and confusion, much more complications than there needs to be.

True, but again, I am not saying that we should always have permission to do this. But only in extreme circumstances.

If the player is found griefing you, then the best option would be to call a mod. If there are none online, ask them to leave. If they do not, take screenshots of them griefing and threaten to report them if they do not stop. IF NOW, they still grief, THEN, you should have permission to kill them and get your stuff back. You have screens to prove that they were in fact griefing you and hopefully, they will be banned or warned
