I believe that this should be taken into account. (Ignore the fact that this thread has been inactive for more than a year.) The average number of quartz per grass is 4-5, which is absurd. The nether will gain a lot more popularity and uses upon the release of the 1.19 update because there will be netherite, bastions, etc which may distract players from focusing on quartz and more of new items like netherite so the ratio of nether quartz per grass wont increase too much. It wouldn't hurt to add this feature considering that you can revert glass, red sand and hoppers. There is no way to exploit it like auto-mining it with baritone like there was back then, thus it looks like a stable addition to add to the economy.
Ima support. Quartz will probably return to 8:1 and even 10:1 depending on how many people are willing to mine their quartz blocks and craft them back into raw quartz. I think it's a good idea if you accidentally craft blocks instead of pillars / etc. but I'm going to miss selling 5:1 .
No support. Drogo has always seen quartz as a decent way for greenies to earn grass. There needs to be some resources that new players can gather just as well as any other player and quartz is one of those resources because the Nether is a level playing field. No fly, no god mode, etc. Drogo doesn’t believe players need so much raw quartz as to make this change worth while. Drogo could farm enough raw quartz in an hour to last him quite a while. Being able to revert quartz to raw quartz would be a small convenience for players at a considerable loss to the greenies. Better to direct greenies towards mining quartz to make grass resulting in more for us to buy.
Quartz is renewable resource. It should be a hard thing to go out and mine so that the richer people of the server will want to pay people to go our and get quartz fir them. Like Drogo said it's a great way for greenness to get grass as every player is equal in the nether. If you can just use your kits to get quartz it gets rid of opportunities for greenies to earn money and it stops the need for people to spend their money and help boost the economy. I think that quartz should be hard to get therefore no support.
