As per the current rules, giftcards are assigned to the quickest 10 ($25 each), others that reached the maximum ($15 each), and others that didn’t reach the maximum, but were close ($10 each). I suggest that all people that receive that maximum vote total receive the same amount (perhaps $20?) regardless of their quickness. Noobcrew receives revenue not based on the time at which players vote, rather, the number of times that they do vote. With less complexity in the voting system, and a greater incentive to vote, I’d argue that there will be more voters, and therefore, greater revenue for Noobcrew.
Used to be only the top voters got it, everybody else was a "sucks for you" With the current amount of "free" money going into the economy, I don't think adding an even bigger influx would be the best idea. I do remember people vote blocking, voting for other servers with people's minecraft name so they couldn't become top voter was one of the worst things you could have happen late in the month.
With my plan, I’m not really changing the amount of money given out. Noobcrew gave out $855 this month, whilst with my plan, he would give out $980. And the numbers I proposed can be lowered if needed.
Those numbers are far larger then I expected they would be, I feel this choice would honestly be up to devs. Obviously they are trying to monetize the game as much as they can to support the servers / themselves.
I feel this suggestion wouldn`t have been made if this person were to have been top 10 lol. But for the suggestion itself, I don`t seen issue with how it is. The top 10 getting a larger amount makes it a competition which to gives players more incentive. If everyone gets the same amount then some people won`t care as much or potentially forget because there`s no point in aiming for those last few votes first. For the amount of money received, $20 would be too much IMO because if we start to increase the amount in GCs you get after each month, they`re value compared to in game currency will slowly decrease because after all, most of the time people use the GCs for the sole purpose of trading for in-game items, myself included. But on the other hand, if it were to be lower than $20, then the value of a GC would slightly increase but at the same time it`s not as much money and if people aren`t voting to get that extra $10 then the same reasoning applies and people won`t feel extra incentive because they`re doing the exact thing already but on top of that, there is no extra prize for the top 10.
that's 125$ on economy, that would be an additional 6.5 million added into the economy way too much, with your plan that's 50 mil added into the economy EVERY MONTH no way sorry no support :/
6.5 million is not much extra when some players make that in three days and the server total is nearing 2 billion.
