There are different generations of processors. There are i7s from 2008, such as the i7 920. The i7 920 would not compete with my i5 6600k, released in 2015. The G4560 was released in 2017 and is a much for capable CPU than its competitors and can be got for fairly cheap in CPU terms.

I feel like you cheaped out on your cpu, maybe try a later module?
    AM4 motherboard+cpu for upgradability.
Also I would never use a power supply with such low efficiency certification as a large enough power surge could fry your entire pc.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

Graphics card: Vega 56... this boy is the best value graphics card on the market. its also really good.
    GIGABYTE Radeon RX Vega 56 DirectX 12 GV-RXVEGA56GAMING OC-8GD Video Card - Newegg.com

Processor: you can't go wrong with a amd ryzen 5 2600. Amazon.com: ASUS B450 AMD Ryzen 2 ATX Gaming Motherboard AM4 DDR4 HDMI DVI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 (Prime B450-Plus) and Ryzen 5 2600 Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler: Computers & Accessories use this if you want to save 20$ on a motherboard-processor combo. Bonus when overclocking--- really good at it and unlocked out of the box. says 3.4 ghz, but actually 3.9, and overclock-ready.

RAM: really depends on what you want... if you want flashy go Bitly | URL Shortener, Custom Branded URLs, API & Link Management. really nice looks, good performance, nice heatsink.
if you want cheap but good go Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C16 Desktop Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2A2400C16) at Amazon.com. average performance, but cheap and good value

    SSD: Amazon.com: Kingston A400 SSD 240GB SATA 3 2.5” Solid State Drive
    SA400S37/240G - Increase Performance: Computers & Accessories
... not much to say, really good price/really fast

HDD: Bitly | URL Shortener, Custom Branded URLs, API & Link Management really jsut a 1tb hdd works... this is really cheap and good for u

Case: 1 of 2: Amazon.com: Phanteks Eclipse Steel ATX Mid Tower Tempered Glass Black Cases - PH-EC300PTG_BK: Computers & Accessories cheap, semi-good ventilation, tempered

2 of 2: Amazon.com: Thermaltake Versa J24 TG Motherboard Sync ARGB ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case with 3 120mm ARGB 5V Motherboard Sync RGB Fans + 1 120mm Rear Fan Pre-Installed CA-1L7-00M1WN-03: Computers & Accessories really good looking, great ventilation, plenty of space

PSU: Rosewill 700 Watt Gaming Computer Power Supply, 80 Plus Bronze PSU, Glacier 700M 840951112755 | eBay (dont worry, its new) really good value, plenty of overclocking headroom

COOLER: if you plan on overclocking past 3.9 ghz use this: Corsair Hydro Series H100i PRO Low Noise 240mm RGB Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 240mm (CW-9060033-WW) Support Intel 2066, AMD AM4 - Newegg.com. really good for cooling, can probably get you to 4,5? Ghz, more than enough. if you just want 3.9 just use the stock cooler that AMD provides.

EDIT: price range is $800-$985 for a badass pc build. Trust me, this thing will save you money and get you POWER

    1. ikr, not a fan of intel tbh.
    2. the rx 580 is great, however it is somewhat pricey.
    3. Somewhere under 1000 dollars (400-800 preferable)
    4. lol
    5. I mean what does a RGB leds do?

My budget, in general, is under 1000 preferably somewhere between 400-800 would be great.

the cpu is from January 2018 so I don think its that old nor is it too cheap. I've seen waaay cheaper ones and from my perspective the build quality and performance.

The power supply is 550 watts and the amount needed for the second build is about 230 watts. Currently, my dell laptop needs 60 watts for what it has got (specs are provided for your reference). The PC I use often is more powerful and has 500 watts (specs provided)

Well first of all, my build will get you PERFORMANCE. the vega 56 will be all you need going forward. It is also currently on like a 50% off sale, so i really very strongly suggest you buy it. The case is a little expensive, so you can decide what case you want. the 2600 ryzen is also perfect for a gaming build. really cheap, and really good performance. you dont need to buy the liquid cooler unless you want real power (the included fan works amazing), and all that will save you about $150, putting it well within your price range.
again, please PLEASE buy that vega 56 graphics card. that thing is a BEAUTY, and extremely cheap. do it for me

I mean what's wrong with the RX cpus tho? the ryzen 2600 is great too but that would add about 200 dollars to my total build. I don't think I need a liquid cooler as I don't see that useful, unless I want to destroy my cpus then I'll go with it. Besides it's not like Im doing hardcore gaming. I just feel like the graphics card I have as well as the other specs are fine for what I need.

On your original build plan, the cpu of choice isn’t even comparable with the 2600’s. I have a 2600x and in the last few days my pc has run amazingly well. Really recommend
