Was thinking the same thing, some of the prices are out of wack. Prices change weekly so its this graph is going to fluctuate constantly. Shulkers are on the verge of being 1:2 Gold is 8:1 at best Wood ranges from 128:1 to 192:1, never a common balance there.
Thanks for sharing that information. Once I get a bit of time on my hands, I will update the graph regularly. Might post it on a google doc and attach the link onto this thread to save editing the message each update.
It's cool to see this all laid out in a nice format. It would be interesting to see the average rate of grass made in different types of trade shops, such as small ones compared to large malls. Although of course it would be super hard to measure that, it would be quite interesting. Good job on collecting all the data for this
Bump- several users requested. Will be updating values soon, quartz especially needs an update. Ahah, thanks 52. It's certainly do-able. May have to try it out in the future.
Thought this thread deserved a bit of an update. Sections shown here have been updated. Surprisingly, wood has overtaken quartz.
I’ve tried collecting casino data in the past but I never seem to get a fair result. One hour for example I may earn several stacks of grass from it while another hour I may earn near to nothing. The amount of profit would also vary dramatically casino to casino depending on the prizes and the legendary prize odds in one’s casino. Casinos with good prizes and low odds tend to be high in demand. Overall I believe that there really wouldn’t be an easy way to accurately gather this information as there would be too many different potential independent variables present. Although I am against gathering this information myself, I would be happy to implement the data from another member’s casino to the graph if they were to send it to me.
In your case, I think if you count the gross profit from your casino in a month, and divide that with the hours in a month, that should tell you how much average income your casino gives you. Although, I think that is to be expected for the majority of these methods but for a different reason. Grass income is going to vary based on how active/passive the method is. In the case of casinos, a casino only needs to be maintained maybe once or twice a day, and in more elaborate setups (i.e. Adriansop's or Triggered's), could theoretically go a week or two without maintenance, so casinos could be considered a mostly passive-income but advertising would make it partially active For example, quartz mining is a fully-active method, meaning you only earn grass for as long as you are in the nether actively looking for quartz, while gold grinding is fully-passive, capable of running without interaction until the end of time (or server restart/full chests) Just for fun (and because pictures are funner-er to look at) I visualized how much income one could earn in a week if they spent an hour everyday mining quartz vs leaving an alt on 24/7 killauraing pigzombies. In total, the gold farm produced 504 in grass value (5040 gold blocks, ~79 stacks, ~1.4 DC) while the quartz mining produced only 196 in grass value (1960 quartz, ~31 stacks, ~.55 DC). For those with a bit more time, here are the stats for 3 hours a day mining quartz ore. In total, the gold farm produced 504 in grass value (5040 gold blocks, ~79 stacks, ~1.4 DC) while the quartz mining produced 588 in grass value (5880 quartz, ~92 stacks, ~1.6 DC). A somewhat fair equivalence of income now. Finally, for those truly living the quarantine lifestyle, here are the stats for 12 hours a day mining quartz ore. In total, the gold farm produced 504 in grass value (5040 gold blocks, ~79 stacks, ~1.4 DC) while the quartz mining produced 2352 in grass value (23520 quartz, ~368 stacks, ~6.5 DC). If you wanted to make a job out of this, in a 84 hour work week, you would have made about $36.75 ($44.59 with gold farm) total or about $0.43 per hour (64g = $1). In the end, your time is worth what you put into it and idk if the 3 hours I put into this thread was worth it xd but it is a cool thread, very nice.
