Not one player or alt that botted was banned. But the mod that allowed to farm quartz doesnt work now. Imo that doesnt conclude a higher droprate, greenies can make more grass now which makes me happy. A higher droprate would change nothing but making quart less luxurious.

A higher drop rate would also decrease overall quartz price because there would be more available. If your sole reason to up the drop rate is to make grass, it wouldn't work, prices would adjust to the volume produced.

Exactly, with the bot problem already being solved the only thing that would change is how luxurious the item is, but, does quartz really need to be that luxurious? right now the demand from quartz comes mainly from players willing to spend the money for big builds, the usual small buy for detailing or redstone components, and resellers, if quartz was more available new markets may be created from players with less grass, also, i dont think it being common would affect the income for new players not only for the reasons mentioned above but for the sheer popularity of quartz as a building block for minecraft in general, the price will always adjust to the effort invested for simple supply and demand, the only players trully being affected are the ones holding the quartz right now and i dont think that should be a thing that can be argumented against a positive change to the servers mechanics, specially when this can be circumvented increasing the drop rate gradually to give time to the market and sellers to adapt and take decisions, you may say the supply is good enough because its available, but it being available doesnt mean its available enough to drive the price down to a point where a player with a lower income can easily use it as a building block, those in their island building and long term planning prime, i agree with the importance of luxurious items in the server but i think this should be reserved specifically for late-game items and collectibles, not building blocks, we should strive for a economy where the items from vanilla minecraft are available for the players that need them when they need them in their progression, this is specially important in items wich supply can be directly tinkered with, this would make the process of settling down into the server more natural and functional, i dont think making a building block luxurious has any benefit, it limits mid-game players from freely choosing a theme for their island and makes an item easily obtainable in vanilla with limited uses into a commodity being subject to hoarding for its value. I think quartz should be made more common gradually, new markets may be created, price will regulate itself, the demand is in nule danger, and quartz being a luxury doesnt match vanilla progression and limits players in their building prime, Support.

We might slightly increase the drop rate or adjust the way fortune works resulting in a slightly higher drop rate.

In the past, it 100% was not policed well. As of now they are cracking down on it.

Thats good to hear. Drogo can only imagine how much people could make botting the nether all day.

I think a slight increase in nether drop rates would be handy, though I feel like upping quartz drop rates too much may incentivize more quartz botting with baritone.

If they properly monitor the usage of bots and make sure the eliminate all possible bots. A slight increase to balance off the loss would be good.

One issue I see with increasing the drop rate of quartz is that shops lower their price, hence requiring players to mine more quartz, which takes longer than usual and further deters people from mining quartz because of the painstaking time it takes. However, it does sound nice to have more quartz

The only thing this truly changes is the amount of quartz in the world. With the increase of quartz their $ amount would likely be lowered do to inflation. So if the server would rather have more quartz rather to use rather than trying to make money off them then I would say up it. But if people are making this there way to make money on the server is say leave it the same. (I'm rich so I don't care :)))
