I agree with what love said but in all honesty why isn't a profile cover more of a "getable" thing?

 

I didn't bother to look at the requirements because I was at like 1000 messages and 2500 likes when this was implemented (prior to deleting several threads and having ratings removed, which is why my message count is lower now), so I didn't even know there was a requirement.

But it's not that hard; I could easily get 250 likes in less than a week if I wanted. The messages could be lowered, but otherwise no support. There are things that should be earned, and this is one of them.

 

I find that hard to believe. I don't think people understand how hard it actually is to get likes...

 

I got experienced member on November 9, which was when I hit 4000 positives give or take. In the past week and a half, I barely posted, yet I am already at 4264 positives, most of, which are likes. If I had actively posted I could easily have way more likes and positives.

 

Maybe you can do that, but I'm not too sure many other people could.

 

Yes, but it's proof that it isn't hard. Ergo, the requirement shouldn't be changed.

 

That's not proof it isn't hard. You've been a member for a long time, people know you, and they know you have a good reputation. Only a few other people could do that, a few experienced members, and a few mods. The cover is available to everyone, so everyone should be able to achieve it. If you are no support then fine, but you can't argue that it's easy to get 250 likes in a week, because that's just stupid.

 

Ya, changing it too positive ratings would be nice.

 

Neutral, maybe just make the messages lower, imo the likes are fine.

 

I feel like 750 is kind of a dumb number tbh.
And if 750 messages at least more likes than 250 lul

 

I think it's a little too high, but it shouldn't be lower than 650 if changed.

Because when you post a lot, it shows you are active in the community, therefore you're rewarded with the option to choose a profile cover. But 750 messages is too much imo. Maybe like 650?

Nah no support. Wouldn't be fair to the ones who got 750 messages for it, and also it should be earned. It's a "huge" thing to have and people who actually want it should earn it.

 

I understand that they're a huge thing to have and they should be worked for and earned, but 750 msgs and 250 likes is a lot for most players. I'd be fine if they were just lowered a bit.

 

I think it being "a lot for most players" is the point. Many have got to 750 messages just to be able to get the profile cover and I feel it'd be really unfair to decrease it right after people have worked hard to meet the current requirements.
