Too lazy to quote everything youve said but chill with the agression please. You mentioned before that the server has an economy, so your riches 100% do concern me. Thats kinda how economy works. Onto your communism/capitalism analogy. The problem is that the server should be capitalist, but its not. Put it this way, you help out the government and in return you become rich. See how this could be considered unfair? And please dont come out with the bs 'WE KEEP THE SERVER RUNNING! WITHOUT US YOU GUYS HAVE NO SERVER!' because its just dismissive and doesnt add anything to the discussion. We all agree donors help the server and we need them, so dont use it as an argument.
Also just wanna say 1 last time that im pretty much playing devils advocate here. Im a donor400 myself and I havent played the servers in about a year now so isnt important for me personally.
You're paying to keep this server alive. This server is donation dependent for its survival. There is no "Pay to win" on a sky block server either. There can never be a "pay to win" sky block server because the server would have to have some goal to win for people to pay to win the goal instantly. Since there is no goal on sky block but your own, there's nothing actually to pay to win. Of course, the economy crashed when donor perks began, but that's not the point of the topic here. Donators receive rewards each day for their donation to keep the server up which is its own reward for donating to a server you love.
This isn't an argument, it is a legit question. No fallacy. It may become an argument depending on your answer, though. I agree with that. It is rare to find someone getting that emotional when complaining about the "pay to win" aspect of the donations. Maybe because if it is really bothering that much, one may still leave. I have no major problem with the (still debated) fact that there are pay to win aspects to the donation. Nothing that would make me leave the server, although it can be annoying sometimes. It really seems to be a bigger problem to donors to admit it. You have paid to have it easier in the game "but for christ's sake don't call it pay to win and dare you use the ch----- word"!!!! Hey, I have cheated on games! I don't make a shame out of it. There are times you litterally want to "walk through" the game rather that the challenge. I can understand that. For some reason I prefer the challenge when playing Minecraft ans Skyblock in particular. And for some reason I share that point of view with Mojang, who doesn't want Minecraft to be the new Candy Crush or similar games, and enforces that with its new EULA.
Pay2win is an expression. You don't literally 'win'. You'd have to be literally stupid to think that skyblock isn't 'pay2win' lmao
The point is: A player who has donated on the server will be more richer than someone who hasn't. It's not "pay2win" because you can't pay to win. However, you will be at an advantage than a player who hasn't donated. That's a fact. It really should be called "Pay 2 be at an advantage against others"
I don't know, but as a greenie I was way richer than lots of Skygods. So for all of you in favor of this server being P2W, I'd say otherwise. (sorry if I bring this into a huge argument again, I just think it's funny kek)
I think this isn't pay to win. You cant really win in this game. You can only grow and expand your island which isn't winning.
A skyblock server is mainly to make your island as big and productive as possible. Or you can do whatever you want with your island. But there is really no way you can win.
So I think you got this whole pay to win thing wrong. But this is my opinion and I'm not trying to start an argument.
