My point is that me and some other people prefer to mind their own business and don't want the island owner to get notified.
A practical example is that I was able to get someone with a scam casino banned. That will be harder in the future if the owner gets the message.
Island owners don't have any disadvantage if visitors can disable it either. Why are Notifications for item shops not enough for you guys?

People clearly want it, and Hypixel has it. That's a fact. But "If Skyblock on Hypixel has it, why can’t we?" doesn't mean that we can't improve on it.

Is it not that hard to notify a staff member of a scam? Now that you explain it like that, it makes sense - you should’ve suggested this 7 messages ago. Anyhow, if I was running a competition and anyone who /visit’d me wanted was part of said competition, it makes it a lot easier than listing a lot of people who are probably standing one on top of each other.

Two different perspectives, two different opinions. Shop notifications may not be enough for some people, as people will come to the shop but without funds, and if you’re somewhere else you’d never know they visited in the first place. It makes it easier for majority of the playerbase that own smaller shops, but of course it is annoying to those who might want different, hence why it is disablable.

Which is why we suggested it in the first place...?

I’ve had enough of this so I’ll finish it here on good terms. You’re entitled to your opinion, as am I, and if they conflict, it doesn’t matter! We have the right to argue our opinion.

I did after I saw someone getting scammed and confirming that it is impossible to win via freecam. Makes it easier for staff.
Yes, it would be. But you usually do that for everyone who msg's you.

Anyways, I will stop arguing here. I think neither of us will change their opinion.

We could easily add a setting that disables the feature for both parties, so when you enter someone's island the owner isn't notified, but also when someone enters your island you aren't notified

Full support provided it's togglable, and not via the mod, as I play vanilla. I get enough spam in chat.

PCcoolguy100 (aka phr33z) I wasn't not supporting it, I was saying it's against the rules to find a thread that hasn't been replied to over a month.

I like this idea. It would be good for catching egg-griefers too. As long as it's toggleable as Matt says, support.

Just a detail, I don't think players should be able to hide notifications when they visit islands. It makes egg griefing easier (as boss mentioned), so only the owner should be able to toggle the notifications, as well as helpers and up.
