since i've been here less than a year, i don't really know your past and etc.

but your app says to me that i should support, good luck.

 

I fully support. She is welcoming and helpful to newer players. I often see her answering players' answers in public chat, and she is always available in private chat. For whatever it's worth, I think she would be great staff material.

 

A nice hellblock moderator, so why have to appeal again?

Narcissa, you're probably the most qualified person on the applications page right now to be a mod. There are those really good players who basically are a moderator (as demonstrated through their in-game behavior, levels of activity, and maturity)--and you are definitely one of those players. Quite honestly, you have the moderator part down; now you just need the tag.

+1 immediately for listing a correct time zone and a UTC offset. This seems like small potatoes until you read other applications that cannot seem to answer this correctly. My favorite answer so far was just "TEXAS".

I was once cussed out by a very irate French fiancée. It sounded so amazingly classy I couldn't even be upset. +1 to you for being bilingual, ma'am.

That is probably the best answer I've seen to this question. This review is shaping up to be very boring to read.

I have been stuck in the house for two days with a six year old and a head cold. Nothing gets done when you're spending five hours a day wearing a tiara and a fake "Elsa" cape while teaching stuffed animals to drink tea. It is really nice to break away and read an application or two.

Don't disqualify yourself in your own job application, ma'am. The phrase "I know there were many mistakes that I made [as a Moderator]" made me glance at the clock to see if the proverbial "Jimmy Buffet" hour had arrived.

Rephrase this slightly. Perhaps something like "My time on that server gave me many opportunities to overcome challenges and become a better staff member"? Showcase what you've accomplished. Or ignore me, these reviews are pretty bad Ms. Malfoy.

Very nice descriptive quality here, +1 ma'am. Much applause. Fraternizing with the people you are supposed to be managing is a bad idea with consequences going back thousands of years.

Two things:
1. You have written a job application before. You are correctly listing features of the job you want, explaining how your skills would help and giving reasons to let you fill the role. That level of appeal normally comes from experience.

2. If I were hiring for an imaginary authority position you would be my first pick, Ms. Malfoy.

I read this entire paragraph multiple times. You make good points and support your qualifications well but for the love of starving kittens please chop this down a bit. Decrease the word count (are the parenthesis qualifications always necessary?) and rephrase to eliminate clauses, which I will mention like this, that only serve to lengthen a phrase.

You mention quite a lot here, ma'am. It roughly breaks down into categories: Efficiency, Customer Service, Attention to Detail, Due Diligence, Open Minded and Mediation. You write very well, but only pundits like me are going to bother digging through a massive wall of text. Please break this up or condense.

Speaking of which...

Exposition! I choose YOU!​

That is a lot of "wingardium verbose-o", Ms. Malfoy. I especially enjoyed the part about would likely become dull and boring and then immediately launching into Iliad-levels of detail.

I enjoyed this paragraph thoroughly. However, when you have a moment please trim this a bit. Your points break down nicely into Responsibility, Organization, Dedication, Customer Service/Helpful and Active. "Helpful" is a repeat from the paragraph above so you really only have three new qualifications to mention.

Regarding "Activity":
Please remove the 300 word mini-essay regarding your recent lack of activity. While I can tell this is a vitally important topic to you quite a lot of people have no idea of your history. Why educate us on your problems...? Don't disqualify yourself on your own job application.

Or just ignore me, ma'am. Once again: Baaaad reviews.

When? Are you volunteering for the midnight to 8am shift, ma'am? Or are you the mythical "Lunch Lady of Doom" moderator? Please give a rough idea of morning/noon/evening, it will probably help to fill a time slot that is in need of more people.

Ah yes, Nar, I remember you. You modded on Hellblock with good ole Veggie. A serious throwback. I have a lot of support for you, because I respect you and you were an excellent Mod and this application is well written. I just have this little bit of doubt. You disappeared for a long bit, dunno if something happened that'll possibly mess up your activity on the server or anything. But good luck, though.
