I did. The definition for permanent is lasting or intended to last or remain unchanged indefinitely. The mute did not last and was changed so can no longer be defined as permanent

Anyways people appeal for mutes cause sometimes they have the need to type in chat or to PM someone regarding something important. Unless you've been perm muted then personally a mute isn't a big deal. I remember Cave trying to communicate to me on vote keys using signs lmao
