If you are already bound to it, why aren't you cool with making it a rule?

    Hm.

If a player is muted or banned in-game, they have the right to see the evidence/reasoning why they were banned. On your appeal, you have the right to demand to see what you have done wrong with proof that it was you and not an imposter.

It won't be a written rule because it's asinine to place on the rules thread. It's an unwritten rule.

If the moderator cannot provide proof that the ban was sound (in respectable time, of course) then the ban cannot stick.

Why do you believe it's foolish to put it there? Just asking.

    EDIT: Oooo big word

Because the rules should be simple and easy to sort through. If we add everything then the rule list will be longer than an EULA and no one will read them. It's an unwritten rule and it has been for a long period of time. Moderators have their own rule set which adds onto the list of rules.

Mods having a reason to ban is pretty much common sense and if it needs to be on the rules, then it just makes you (the players) look foolish if you require such basic directions. There are so much more other things that should be on the rules that aren't, such as actively hunting for loopholes in the rules to attempt to weasel out of a ban or mute.

The rules are streamlined so the server is fun and relaxing, and not reminiscent of a prison camp.

A lot of mods don't provide evidence when they have a player appealing and refuse to give evidence when the player asks. Can we do something about that?

Add/Re-add these rules | Skyblock Forums
    Please post those here. kthxbai
Now I can disagree with that statement. This is one, very important rule.
The rule is meant to help the players.

Never reported you but I wouldn't risk myself over something that could be prevented
If it doesn't risk anything, sure. Some evidence like alts on the forums isn't considered proof by the community and is based off of behavior and suspicious activity (posting to get 25 posts and then rate abusing), having a suspicious name, coming on and spamming threads, etc. It's harder to get that proof because we use reasoning and solid evidence to prove it. Hopefully that makes sense

I really don't think your local police force can do anything over someone in another continent not doing anything. This is almost like that time Wade gave me SWAT threats.

Most don't because they don't follow the guidelines.

Or cyp doesn't feel like demoting and decides to call it 'mere drama'.

We're starting to get into flame war territory. This is a suggestion, please stay on it.

If players are required to provide proof in a report, so should mods.
They should archive it in case an appeal is made, with date and realname proof.
No action should be taken by a mod without proof, where bans of a player caught by them themselves are concerned.
Kicks are no biggie. Perhaps longer mutes might be, so mods should be prepared.

Mods don't ever abuse? Why have there been mods that have been demoted?

    Lmaoooo Quietus and Sam

You obviously do not know what goes on. Something related to not being able to rate staff decisions?

Just because they haven't been demoted doesn't mean they haven't abused.
