This application is not starting well, Gamz. You began writing by stating you did not want to bother looking up the time zone you live in.

+1 for starting a new language. Very few Americans bother picking up another language, including myself. Good job.

Honesty overload.​

You don't need to go into exhaustive detail justifying your ban history, sir. The people involved with your ban (Moderators) already know the dirty little details. Everyone else (me, your readers) have no idea what happened and mostly do not care. Going into extreme detail will bias most of the people reading your thread: "If this is what he admits to, what else is he not saying??"

Recommend you cut this back to just "Yes. Once for looting and once for bridging. I have learned from my mistakes". Or just ignore me, these reviews are pretty bad.

You hand-wrote all of the rules on a post-it note?! There are 15 of them and the server rule post is easily over 750 words. Don't get me wrong, sir: I am impressed you took the time to write these out and kept it by your computer. +1 for being committed to not repeating past mistakes.

You started this application with some rough material-- can't be bothered to look up your own time zone, ban history-- but then your "hand wrote the rules" part really got to me. At first I wanted to mention that you're taking a swipe at the current Mod team by suggesting nobody is helping people. But then I hit "there are a lot of mods". Now I am just confused.

Alright. I think you are trying to say "I'll do my best to assist players with issues" but over-explained it a bit. Some thoughts:

1. Can you find a synonym for "help"?
2. How can you physically assist someone from a computer?
3. When switching to MineChat, why is that not "physically helping", but being at your computer is?
4. When you ask out loud, do you mean on chat in the game? Or is this a TeamSpeak thing?

Can you reword this paragraph a bit, sir? I think you have something you're trying to say here but the message was a bit unclear.

None of this requires access to the /ban command, sir. You can advise players against rule breaking (but not look it up for them?) just fine without a [Mod] tag in front of your name.

Can you give an idea of why being a Moderator will assist you with telling people their trades are illegal?

Can you add something about how you personally talk with others that would make you the best candidate for a Mod position?

+1 immediately, you listed these traits in order and your first paragraph led nicely into your second. "Encourages me to be kind.... Kind: I am a very kind person". That sort of "paragraph flow" is a good thing, but very subtle.

Unfortunately you need a lot more detail here, Gamz. When you list a qualification try to follow it up with two or three supporting statements and close the paragraph with an example related to the job you want. This is difficult to describe, let me rewrite the above as a demonstration.

Example:
"Enthusiastic and Kind: It is important as a Moderator to be enthusiastic about your job and to try your best to be kind. Every situation on the server deserves attention, from the smallest complaint to the largest. Being enthusiastic helps keep me moving from issue to issue without feeling overwhelmed. Likewise it is important to remember to be kind: While the problems do not change very often each player thinks their issue is new and unique. Handling the 10,000th 'lost item' of the day should be done just as kindly as the first."​

This is off the top of my head so I apologize for any issues. Hopefully the idea gets across. PM me if you're unsure how to apply this to your application, I don't mind enthusiastically replying (with kindness).

You meant this paragraph completely without irony, but I need to point this out: "Green bean" is an insult.

Greenbean is another term for "greenhorn", meaning someone who is inexperienced or new to an activity. Some synonyms include amateur, babe, hayseed, rube, simpleton and virgin. You are talking about Respect/Respectful in this paragraph and then calling new players names.

Argument: "But their names are green! So... 'greenbean'!"

Counter: Being green / greenhorn has been used since the 1900s as (negative) slang for the new guy on the job. Unless CypriotMerks is making some sort of incredibly subtle joke the name color is a complete and total accident.​

Now that you know maybe you should call them "new players" instead...? Otherwise your paragraph reads fairly well and there are no glaring edits that stand out. Nicely done.

The word you are reaching for is "Responsible", sir. I am not sure how to suggest a reword here.

Oh, nice quality. +1, I haven't seen this listed on an application before. Suggest switching this to "Situationally aware" but don't feel obligated to do so. This is fine as you have it.

Remove this or rephrase, sir. Nothing you wrote here has anything to do with patience. Can you give some example of why patience is useful as a Moderator? Perhaps explain why you have patience when dealing with others...?

This is a good trait. Please apply it to how being worthy of trust is an asset when dealing with the public as a Moderator. I know it seems obvious, but if this is worth putting on your application then you can spend a moment explaining why it's important for the position you want.

•long pause• Alright. Pretty good. Most people just list "Yes, I was a Mod on 15 servers!" but you've at least listed what you did with your position. +1.

GAMZEE, while I greatly approve that you want to take on a bigger role in the community my heart just about stopped when you gave enough personal information to track you down in real life. While I trust most of our players are pretty nice people you need to remember as a Moderator you are going to ban a load of awful people.

Do not give out this much personal information. Post reported to forum moderation.

Everything else (playing the trumpet, etc) looks good and gives a lot of insight into your character. You seem like a pretty upstanding and honest person. +1 to you, sir.

Never see you online or on forums. Too informal. An application is supposed to give off a mature impression. By saying "lol" I highly doubt you're giving a good impression. Don't put everything bold please. Not pleasant for the eye. No support for now.
