So yeah. My Mobs arent spawning naturally anymore on my island, regardless on island settings and trying to update them.(ive sat here for a day AFKing next to a farm and no loot)

Does anyone know a way to fix this by chance?

 

I had the same issue recently. I'd recommend building a mob spawning platform (just a big square) at a super low y-level. Preferably underneath the island or underneath other blocks so that the light level is as close to 0 as possible.

 

My Island's engulfed under a canvas. i should not be suffering from no mobs! XD

 

Another issue may be that there are too many spaces where mobs could spawn. Having an isolated platform that is out of the render distance of the rest of the island might be more effective.

 

I'm pretty sure mobs have a minimum distance they must be from the player correct!

However due to the way this server functions I'm not sure if mobs will spawn further than 3 chunks from the player including the one they are in

 

Im not the only one with this issue, ive shown others being on my island it. even they will agree its weird.

The dev's should look into it since it seems to be a global occurance now.

 

Drogo noticed his skeleton spawners weren’t spawning a great deal last night. Fully enclosed room with zero light, plenty space to spawn, no mobs close by. The spawners would spin up, light up, go ‘poof’ but no mobs.

Maybe another update that didn’t get a mention in the update post?

 

Potentially, however I've got one of these dud spawners even on my xbox world's, see if he picks up n places it again fixes it. If not, I think it needs a server restart is in order to fix that.

 

Discovered what my issue was. I had a bunch of pig zombies sitting about 15 blocks below my spawners. Far enough away, that they would ordinarily not influence spawners at all but Drogo suspects some change has been made on the server that it now does.

 

We will have to wait if Devs can assist or figure this out.

 

AdamCakezor Have you tried building a big platform at y=1? I did this on my island and mob spawns began to work.

 

still no success.

Edit: i got Bats, since i dont think they apply to hostile mob cap.

 

and this still continues, atleast this issue is continuing!
