This is like when Facebook bought the Oculus Rift. Why?

If Microsoft is going to focus more on the xbox version of it, and neglect updates to the PC Version, then the PC Players are slowly going to leave mc

I don't think Microsoft will discontinue the other platform versions. They may cost more in the future to get it on Mac or PS3/4. That would make them more money and give a lot of publicity.

I'm pretty sure when a big company like this acquires another company, they change almost everything relating to terms.

Mostly likely they'll just forget Mojang completely, remove the PC version, or make it where you have to pay to walk 5 blocks.. lol, and get ready for them to take the XBox version 10x more seriously, and just update that, without even thinking of the downsides to forgetting the PC version.

Okay so let's say it's true that Microsoft buys mc

Firstly: Microsoft as a large company knows that if a specific game has qualities that are liked they won't change it (for mc it's blocky and has an open and creative multiplayer) Microsoft knows that things will have to change but it'll be the important factors like lag control and perhaps make it a little bit easier to be creative

Secondly: Microsoft does not just focus on Xbox as Microsoft began as a computer software company and then moved onto making computers and then gaming consoles on the side. It's abit like it Apple bought MC it's not likely to focus just on the mc mobile versions, the big companies know where the popularity is and will focus on that (the more popular being the PC version)

Thirdly (but unsure): MC has recently been released as a playstation game as well legally Microsoft cannot tell Sony "sorry were not letting you guys sell this" because it would mean less money in their pocket

Fourthly: if Microsoft was to buy the game then I can't see eula being involved because the contract is between mojang and eula and therefore if a new company takes over they can rather agree to continue with their agreement or not (most likely not)

My concern with Microsoft would be whether a lot of attention will be given to mc as Microsoft have a lot going for it ATM and a lot of projects and products shooting out but hey mojang is starting to struggle with it all I recon and keeping hold of players are a must

    Opinions please
