BTW I also klicked Support I could make my shops way more compact.

But I think that since these chests are trapped, you can make silly stuff with it. Like dropping your customer into the void when he uses the shop (that's not a nice way to treat customers, but I came across some very perverted minds on this Server).

I cannot answer the first question, that's why I asked it myself in my post. Anyhow, when you right-click the sign as the chest owner, it opens the chest. I don't know how it works as "customer".

One Thing for sure: you Need a comparator to have a Signal that Shows how much the chest is filled. A lamp next to a trapped chest will glow only when the chest is opend. A trapped chest emits a Signal only when opend, unless you put a comparator next to it, then the strenght of the Signal coming from the comparator depends on how the chest is filled.
