I feel the same way, like I have a skin comp area but I don't even use it really, plus this topic could be seen as bad but if someone is willing to pay, then let them, since they chose to, but the spam could be less and would help if kids wouldn't just say the same thing back to back. This gets you nowhere usually but I get messages back from those who I ask to stop spamming saying "everyone does it, and this is the only way to get noticed". I think there needs to be something to fix this problem, but spamming is becoming worse in the server .-.

In a way yes...this may seem stupid to say but since donors can type in color, non donors should be able to spam TO and extent. This is because that is pretty much the only way a non donor can really get seen and people come and visit, but it all depends on what they do, me for instance, I just follow the rules cause I am usually alone on the island so I don't want a lot of people at once, but for others they have a lot of people to help them and want more people but getting word out is hard. So the solution is a non donor needs to donate, or maybe be able to spam a bit, but there are limitations on it. That's my opinion.

 

I have nothing to say, other then, this is sad. I wish we had more fair skin comps, instead of a free entry being like heaven, even though thats what it should be. ;P

 

I know that if you pay to go in a skin comp, be prepared to loose in some cause they are rigged, I know this due to making skins that everyone likes, and someone comes along with a skin that wasn't even worth the effort, or wasn't even made and looks worse than mine that wins, and I am not bragging, I have seen skins that are just as likely to win, but even they loose to someone that had a bad skin, so I would say just don't pay to play, just work back to free skin comps

 

They are free to do this, but it is annoying because:
A. Nobody does decent unrigged free ones anymore
B. The spam in chat these create is so annoying

My final thing I really wanna say for now is if you hate the spam, there is always a /ignore option, I haven't used it but it is there for anyone guys.

Players deserve a fair deal.

 

Also may I ask what you don't agree with Muru, I am making an honest point since a greenie can't use color text, many tend to skip over what they say since its boring, what I mean to this is a greenie can advertise maybe three times within 15 seconds before it becomes spam, this would help them get noticed and calm themselves since people come. But this is always able to be averted by ignoring a spammer, just saying

 

I understand this but it also leads into the spam that comes with it, I see it a lot and it gets annoying, plus if your gonna complain about it let me leave it at this. ANYONE who decides to pay has a choice no to, so in the end it is their fault for deciding to pay for something.

 

But they don't know any better. They're getting ripped off. They'll lose all their grass/valuables and leave the server.

 

Ok, so as I said, it is their choice. Plus the server literally gives you grass daily for those who need it. Those who don't take time to understand what is going on, need to ask about it or don't explore what they don't know for sure. I would gladly help with anyone who needs that help. I'd tell them do it at your own risk but I wouldn't pay since it could be rigged, so it's up to what you wanna do.

 

With the recent introduction of the "mystery chest" deal, I'd like to suggest instead of a ban on these kinds of gambling things, a restriction on the "entry fee".

One can only ask for a maximum of a certain amount of grass to enter a game of chance or potential bias.

 

I get where you are coming from, but these can't really be banned due to how the work. It is just like trading so that would be like restricting trading all together.

 

If you don't want to be ripped off, then don't join in on the competitions. On the occasions I hold skin comps, I make sure there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes worth above 1 diamond with no be entry fees, but the issue is that greenies want to make grass and it's a nice easy way of doing it. As long as people are willing to gamble, the gambling institutions will remain.

 

Well that, essentially, is how they learn about the economy more and learn not to make the same dumb mistakes again. I know that when I was a greenie, I considered god items valuable until I made one bad deal that totally changed my mindset xD
