Welcome back to the Monthly Island Competition! Each month our players battle it out to be crowned champion and have their island named the best on the server for that month. We are pleased to announce that the winner of November's Island Competition was FatalDisaster with their island /visit FatalDisaster! Now to this month's competition... As November's contest was held on /skyblock, this month the contest is switching back to /economy! Remember that they will be alternating each month! As always, if you have any questions about the contest, feel free to /msg 52Phenomenon when you catch me in game or contact me on discord @ 52Phenomenon. Your task is simple: create an island (or enter an already completed island) on our Economy server and submit it. By entering, you have the chance of winning the following: A custom medal from me that will only be obtainable from winning this competition A role on the Skyblock Discord that will only be given out to those that win our competitions An extended feature in the #island-showcase channel on the Skyblock Discord The winner's showcase will include more images and much more detail about the island 1x Pig Spawner To win, we ask that all entrants follow the criteria set: You must be the owner of the island that you submit Your entry cannot be an island that you sold to another player The island must be submitted by the player that built the majority of it The island must be on our Economy server The island must not be an island chain - you can only submit one island for the contest, although it may be expanded to 149x149 or 199x199 Your islands will be judged by our staff team. The winner will be announced by me on this thread, and will also be included in the thread for next month's competition. Islands will be judged on how unique they are, how well they are built, and their general look. No, i haven't Special notes: Island is not built from schematic,assistive mods are not used, fly is not available. Has extensive cave and mineshaft network with potentially entire villages hidden behind mazes of cave systems. Island is incomplete, 81/156 chunks are done.
I don't know if this is needed to note. Also just saying, if you say no mods but have the most high-quality shaders/texture packs at that point it's basically mods lol, no shade tho cool island nonetheless
While judges would use their own minecraft clients with visual mods to view the island, my own mods would not affect it's visuals. However, litematica printer can hugely speed up builds as you can just import a schematic of something you worldedited up in singleplayer.
Laacis has put an incredible amount of work desig ing their island in the short time they've been playing, definitly worth visiting
Yeah I understand, was just pointing out that I think it's better to submit with default graphics, however it doesn't matter that much ig and it's a sick island either way. Also agree, I don't use schematic but I know it makes it way easier. I just didn't know if they visit the island or go based off pictures, which is why I said that you should use default graphics, def gonna check ur island out in-game tho, although I don't rly play eco I still will check out the cool islands.
Players are welcome to submit photos using texturepacks or shaders, as the Isle on show will be visited by judges to determine a winner I've had help from friends to get lovely shader photos of my Isle so i say def give it a go
oh ok, since they made you upload ss i didn't know if they actually visited the islands in game, thanks for clearing that up, so nothing wrong with using shaders
