And now the golden point - what is the point of enforcing these rules? Is there any point in following rules written by an equal to you individual? Do you admit someone's transcendence above you?
Oh damn, I just got deep into Nihilism philosophy.

Well not everyone is entirely equal on the server as some have more commands or responsibilities. Rules were set in place to maintain the server with a calm state of matter. Basically: Rules were set to keep the server calm and so people could have a enjoyable experience. Rules are put in place by staff to keep the server calm and enjoyable.

Everyone's equal, it's just their level of understanding is different. People have their special talents, and some have talents that others do not have. People's gifts might be moderating, playing an instrument, great at school, etc. You stating this is virtually similar to saying, "Obama and the branches of government have written these laws to keep America up and running." In a similar way, without rules and enforcing these rules within the server, there will, consequently, be utter chaos.

Sure, but it is not worth spending hours moderating and enforcing written by someone rules.

That's your opinion, and no one can take that away from you. However, if you're spending countless hours moderating, that's just not healthy. It's pointless in your view, but evidently people think otherwise. Had they thought the way you currently think, they wouldn't be applying for moderator.

You compare talents with moderating on the server, that's funny. Talent is something you may have discovered or achieved through pain and long work. Moderating is not a talent, if people got paid for it, almost everyone would be suitable for it as it's just an algorithm of actions, aka if this, do that.

I don't know if you realized how awful that sounded.
    You may want to rephrase.

But it's the fact no one's getting paid, they do it for sheer enjoyment, as you might not think its important others might. Think about those countless people always asking for mods in chat...

Moderating is something that you achieved through pain and long work, and it pays off if you really try. Similar with talents.

Ordaining yourself up to a certain position and proving yourself is a skill that is easier to certain people rather than others.

All the life decisions base on conditions and current events, a happy and rich person for example wouldn't commit suicide in all of the sudden. Moderators in majority of them are people suffering from issues, problems and health disorders and this is why they chose to moderate the server.

If you want to apply, apply. Moderating is helping people and enforcing the rules. Not to show off a prefix and commands.

Most of them try to close up the gap in their life. That is a mental condition that is purely inevitable, regardless of any medication you take. Yes, I agree with you, but what about Robin Williams? He was one of the most successful comedians and actors the face of the earth has ever met. He's rich, he's popular, and yet he killed himself. That statement I must disagree with.

Sure, but while the talent may be helpful in the future, moderating won't be at all.

I've found that being a mediator in a lot of trades and helping others has helped me extremely in real life. It's given me a better understanding how to deal with other people in certain situations, as well as breaking down the problem that I face.

Well, you can consider help of mod as a service, you help player, they thank you and you are a little step closer to the promotion. It is just like life, it is all about the advantages.

Its not always in a template like that. Its not as easy/hard as it seems because every situation is completely different.
