Opinions are fine but it's not needed anymore on the specific event. The situation is over. It's not changing. We know both parties were immature. One is banned, one is not. It's done. Over. No need to include Stel or FindMe specifically anymore.
Ok, sorry i know this is dragged on my im going back to staff disrespect and "kys". this is a very hard statement, but i don't think some people here 'understand' depression, anxiety and othe mental illnesses. These illnesses really change peoples field of view, ok most of us here are young, but that has no right to say that 'well if someone tells you to kill yourself and you want to do it because of that guy on minecraft you need to rethink your life' Errm, yeah you can't just say that. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH! BEFORE YOU JUDGE PEOPLE AND TELL THE TO 'NECK' THEMSELVES YOU THINK, "that person could be going through anything right now, his mother could have died the night before, her father left her". things like these examples have MAJOR effects on peoples lives, ok. Why am i so educated on this subject, because. i have bad depression, i have bad anxiety, half the server would be too young to understand what depression and anxiety is. All those kids need to know is hold your tougues. treat people how you want to be treated, i learnt that in year 1, and alot of people are acting like year 1's. Also, disrespecting staff is a bigger deal than you think. I know some kids just are different and don't have my field of view but if a teacher told you to do detention for swearing in class, would you tell her "get some rope and hang yourself"? some would, others wouldn't. I didn't read much of this, save for the first post, so forgive me if I repeat anyone here Here's my two cents. I think part of the issue with players like Stel (and Kron, if you want to name names) is that she repeatedly makes mistakes over and over again, but is never really permanently banned. In my report, which is the sixth from the bottom (made in March) Stel had already stepped out of line several times, and I was told that if she made anymore mistakes, she would be permanently banned. But as you can see, there have been several more infractions. And, to my knowledge (I could be wrong), it has been CypriotMerks or some other person acting for him, that has led to her being unbanned. This clearly frustrates moderators; after all, the very person who promoted them to make the server a better place is seemingly working against them. This has, as aforementioned, been going on for a while now. To the mods that were involved, ChibiBerry Lemonade Jennie ShiningNova06 , I once asked blaq about this. Mindsensation, blaq, and I were in game, and witnessing Stel being, well, Stel, as usual; she did the exact same thing to Blaq that she did to you guys: saying how she'd be unbanned by Cyp, threatening blaq that Cyp would unban her, and whatever else sick nonsense that she'd thought up. And I asked blaq about it. His response was somewhat similar to the following: I just do what I can with my authority. I give Stel the necessary discipline for her actions, and act accordingly. If Cyp decides to overrule that decision, then so be it--that's outside of my jurisdiction. But, she will likely break the rules again sometime, for she hasn't learned her lesson, and the staff will be there to discipline her once again. I think that's a good approach. Instead of letting things such as these go unnoticed (things that I've seen happen in chat that moderators have outright ignored): you should just warn her, mute/kick her, temp her, or whatever your discipline routine is (I forget ) and move on. Don't harbor any negative emotions about it; you'll just get frustrated even further. For that specific ban in general, in regards to FindMe's report thread, the mods did step a bit out of line--but this is reasonable considering how frustrated they must have been. They just need to understand that if something's out of their control, then it's out of their control, and that they should just do what they can with the power that they have.
Lol, depression doesnt pertain to Minecraft. A close buddy of mine once said "If someone is going to commit suicide and making a big deal out of it, I'll hand them the knife, I have no sympathy for people like that" Its the people that attention seek for the depression lol. If you don't make a big deal about it, or only talk to a select few, by all means, don't listen to others and just have your friends. If people don't have thick skin, how the heck will you manage in a real world situation?
Im not saying depression pertains to minecraft, im saying when people say nasty things to someone on the internet, (social media, games) Sometimes that one person they've said it too has had enough of it because that 1 person might infact be getting bullied and cyber bullied a day after day, week after week, month after month.
I'm not saying, saying it once generally, but doing it multiple times over and over stressing about it trying to get sympathy and whatnot. Im close friends with people that are depressed, but they don't let it be known. Its like this though, you shouldn't let peoples words on the internet affect you. If your boss for a job got mad at you, and you told him you were depressed, I wouldn't expect a sympathy letter, more of. Figure out what you need to figure out because I need you to do your job.
I agree on the fact that some to attention seek, its better to tell a someone close to you instead of trying to get sympathy.
To be honest this thread seems like its about two people Stel and FindMe. I'm not going to take sides because if you really look this thread you can see each one having their faults[some more than others]. Stel may swear when provoked [or not] and FindMe may blackmail or boost his entire point on his "collection of screenshots". But lets me honest. People should really let them settle this. There have been plenty attack threads complaining to high heavens about Stel. So she has her right to stick up for herself. FindMe has created one of those threads. so the repercussions he has to deal with.
No, you're not. You took it way out of proportion, and made a public discussion thread with the screenshots and everything to showcase what was done. That didn't contribute in any way, shape, or form, to the ban. You should have made a report. Still, it shouldn't be dropped until both of you learn your lesson. This arguing between the two of you isn't even the point of this thread, either. Stick to it, or start a PM. Sleep just wants to know about the proof behind bans and such

Stel is volunteering to move on instead of making it bigger. That's a lesson, Moving on is actually a good lesson.
