can this either be optional or gone. i don't like the prefix... the colour is fine though ;-; or make it a donor perk for coloured pet names

 

If you can do colours on pet names normally, how will they block prefixes? What's the point of blocking them?

You are using the /pets command while the cat in the original suggestion is tamed using a fish - like vanilla pets. The pets tamed the “vanilla” way have the tamers prefix and colors on it.

 

I tamed my dogs with bones, and they have the prefix

Those are natural spawned mobs, rather than the rank perk that is /pets. Command pets won't have a prefix but tamed mob cats and wolves will
