I have seen many players being scammed. Here is how not to get scammed on Skyblock.net I will give prices, helpful links and advice. So lets start: 1. Only Use Chests. Use chests. This will mean if you do get scammed, then the person who scammed you will be caught. Moderators can check what goes in your chests and out. 2. Make sure you know what you are buying. If you bought for example 64 oak logs but they gave you planks, then you need to make sure before you buy that you have made it clear what you actually want. 3. You don't have chests. If you don't have chests for whatever reason, then make sure you keep to this list: - Be in a clear area. - Make sure other people aren't around. - Record your purchases if possible. - Be aware of clear lag. 4. Make sure they have the item. Tell them to show the item in their hand. You need to make sure they have the item and it isn't something they have to leave to get. If you are the seller, make sure you check they have grass and don't have to leave to get it. Make sure you don't give the item till you get the grass. 5. Make sure you know the prices. Check if you are not being scammed for more money. If it is a deal, then be careful what you are dealing and that the prices are reasonable. Check the chat or ask mods or even players. They will always be helpful! So What Are The Prices? - 64x Cobble- 1 grass per SC or even 1 grass per DC. -64x Snow- 1 grass per stack -64x Logs - 1 grass per stack - 1 diamond -18 grass Helpful Links: Agent Prices Thread. And yet you are disliking my posts on that thread. Very strange. [edit] also this should be in help and guides not discussion
Nice guide, also there has been other threads and guides talking about how to avoid getting scammed, I'll link some of them in case: Increasing number of scammers - stop them! | Skyblock Forums The most secure way to trade | Skyblock Forums Scamming: What is it? How to avoid it and report it | Skyblock Forums and some other more And this is in the wrong section if u want it to be in the Guide and how to sections.
Okay sorry I didn't realise. Thank you. It was changed. To New Players: Yes surely I would recommend looking and reading those links listed by @BeryBerry If you have been scammed, always report. (Make sure you have evidence)
Also don't forget to get staff involved if needed to moderate the trade either by simply recording it and making sure nothing goes wrong or by /invsee. /invsee is the most secure way so I would recommend getting a moderator to do that for when you're trading.
Lol contrary to popular belief getting a really good or bad price for something isn’t scamming or being scammed, it’s the other person not doing their research and making a foolish decision.
