[Global] Staff Expectations

    Blaq has a nice point :) It's funny how players ignore their own expectations and judge staff even though they themselves do not play as they should.

    I find it interesting that different players expect different things from staff now.
    Apparently it's expected that a staff should always refund anything that a player lost when falling into the void. Or any items lost due to clear lag :eek:
    Well we're here to enforce rules and teach the community why the server rules are in place to keep it smooth etc..
    A gotta agree with blaq. y'all expect us to be nice and your best friend. Reality check, I'm not here to always let y'all get away with rules cause some of y'all are better at kissing up. ^~^

    If we could write a player expectation thread... I'd totally go for: I expect players to be respectful to not only the staff but to each other. I expect players to play fairly and not try to find loopholes in the rules and pushing staff's buttons. I expect players to understand that it is just a game, and not take everything to heart that is said to them. (This point is quite important because it seems like everyone will cry if they get called names, but y'all have no idea how many times players will start dissing me because i refuse to refund them spawners/dias without any proof, or cry about how I'm useless because I can't uncoop someone for them)

    anyways about your post. We're here to enforce the rules and teach it to new players etc. Old players should know the rules and shouldn't need constant reminders. If you know what you're doing is wrong and continue to do it, then yes you will be punished for it. Repeat offenders who constantly do the same thing, and are aware of the fact that they're breaking the rules, will result in a punishment with less of a warning. (tbh i sound a machine if i keep telling you to stop caps every time you're online and you spam etc right?) Besides, the offender should have already read the rules and know what is against the rules and shouldn't be done.

    Mods will help to the best of their ability. Being the only one online usually when I am, you juggle through people spamming (and this is when repeat offenders will not get warnings and get insta punished), people msging you in pm asking for help, as you are already assisting someone on their island. there is a few of us and many of y'all, if y'all followed the rules, then you wouldn't even have to be kicked.
    --> having staff on 24/7 impossible feat. And if we did, then that'll means more repeat offenders caught in action and wouldn't y'all cry at being muted more? :eek:
    --> staff promotions are all on cyp. Dew's already had 2 chances and lied to me flat out, which is why I prefer not

    Evidence occasionally cannot be shown to users due to how the evidence was retrieved. The cases of evidence not being allowed to shown to users is rare, but even you've hidden your posts using /hide when reporting so try and not be hypocritical :p

    There are many reports everyday. Some reports are quite pointless which is why they're rejected immediately. Also there are many reports made by players not involved in the situation stated in the report, and since it isn't relevant to them, they are rejected. But due to the huge amount of reports we go through everyday, adding a tag on who handles reports will be quite a headache to type. Honestly, I find it entertaining that your comment is only targeted to the reports being rejected and not the reports being handled. Wouldn't you want to know which reports are resolved/handled by who too? Or only so the staff who rejects reports will be targeted in the future? :p
