I do agree that we need a few more Australian/New Zealand mods. But it's never gonna be perfect of having mods on 24/7 through all time zones. As for my timezone, I think there's only a gap at little times. If you need a mod good chance is asking one on TeamSpeak as some are on there including me.
I think that there are gaps, which we don't have filled right now. If a moderator is promoted in those gaps, that would be great. If there isn't one for a while, we have a reports section for a reason. We try our best, we all have lives other than the server, and fluctuations and gaps are to be expected.
I agree but I voted it's not a big problem. Yes I know it's pretty much a free for all when mods aren't online... Scams, spam, swearing and the usual stuff. I never trade when a mod is not online, but recently I've noticed that 50% of the time I am on, there isn't a mod online. It may be because of when I go online, but there are big gaps where mods aren't online. Now I'm not saying that I could do a better job or be more active, I'm not fit to be a mod. They are all doing a great job, just maybe Cyp should selecting a few mods where there are gaps. This is a hard thing to do though, everyone has schedules, activities and problems. With all the resigning/demoted mods, we need to have someone to look out for us players most of the time. I know players can report, but to be honest, sometimes I can't be bothered. I sometimes just /msg them that I will report them and they stop, but I sometimes never carry it out. The amount of screenshots I have with people breaking the rules and there not being a mod on is amazing. This isn't a major problem, but it would be nice to have a few more mods here and there. Cyp probably knows there is a problem so all is good.
Oh and mods, no need to get defensive. You know if you are doing your best. And if you know than its obvious to the players. We appreciate things that you do for us. The problem with the reports is that no matter how much you tell a player to report sometimes they will not get it and not be able to thus having a mod online is good back up, or one that will come on within 20-40 minutes of a grief or an issue. I am sure cyp knows a lot more we give him credit for.
Timezones. That is the problem here, what would be the best is to get mods from somewhere in Eastern Asia, as they would be home during those gaps. Unfortunately, we don't have that.
