Bumpdate: Sorry I haven't been on as often recently. Theres a lot going on irl rn with my health. I will keep trying to be on as often as I can
Generally, I really don’t think this should be a factor. Economy needs more active staff members, but we reduce the chance of that by requiring them to be active on both servers. Those who might make the best candidates for staff shouldn’t be ruled out because they don’t play both servers. Personally, I think server specific staff would be a great idea.
Queen I know you don’t like me for whatever reason. I have tried to be nice and will continue to be polite because I cannot please everyone. Idk what I did to make you dislike me but if you want to msg me on discord @emydances8, I would love to try and figure out why you dislike me so I can try to resolve it. I do not dislike you in the slightest. It makes me sad that you do not like me for whatever reason because I try to be kind to EVERYONE on this wonderful server. Since I couldn’t respond to your reply on another staff app, I will here. How does it affect you if I bump staff apps? You can easily make it so you don’t receive notifications! Mods have lives and that’s perfectly fine, but recently we have had a lack of staff on, causing more issues so we NEED more staff so it doesn’t take forever to resolve urgent issues. This is not a dig against anyone because the staff team does the best they can, but that doesn’t change the fact that more staff is needed! Thank you so much for your feedback! I 100percent agree that we need server specific mods! I played eco a lot, won island comp, and then ran out of ideas, if I come up with another I will come back! I do know the rules, how the server works, etc. And to everyone who has no supported, and neutraled (ik that’s not a word but idk how best to put it ) f you have not left your feedback as to why you are not supporting me, I would love to hear it! I want to do my best to improve so I can be the best version of myself! Also, Tysm Rinnies for the support! I really appreciate it!
Neutral, leaning toward no support. I've had no actual interactions with you, but I used to see you active in chat all the time and you were always nice and helpful. The reason I'm leaning toward no support is because your above reply is seemingly some sort of attempt to start an argument/debate on your helper application. I don't think that's appropriate at all, if you really want helpful advice you should try to start a conversation in DMs with the people you think can provide it. If you did do this already and they ignored you let it go, trying to provoke something on your staff application is not a good way to go about it. I personally agree that mass bumping every open staff application isn't the best thing to do, even if you had good intent.
I am in no way trying to start an argument or provoke people. I am truely sorry you see it that way because that was not my intention! I was trying to extend an olive branch to people who might have problems with me on neutral grounds. I really want to be the best version of myself. If that comment is taken that way by people I am so sorry, but I will not delete it because I made that bed I must lay in it. I hope I am able to change your mind in the future! I was just trying to do what I thought was right (I am autistic so sometimes I have a hard time doing that the way neurotypical people will receive it best if that makes sense.) On the bumping on staff posts. They hadn't had much feedback recently and I wanted to encourage them to keep going (if that's what they want to do.) When I don't see any feedback on my posts it discourages me, and I was just trying to help, and because we do need more staff. I hope everyone reading this post has a wonderful day and i'm sorry if I offended anyone. I was really just trying to do what I thought was best
Hi SuperCoolWimp, I think Emy did try to start a conversation in DM with the person in question(see attached image). I also know that not everyone thinks this way, but I personally think that having people bring up their grievances in the application comment section is an effective measure of evaluating applicants. This is because people are able to find out past or existing issues that the applicant has been a part of, while also observing how the applicant responds to these issues. If their responses are filled with swearing or passive-aggressive statements versus mature and level-headed attempts at resolution, this would help people decide whether to support or no support. In withdrawn app archives, you can see many examples of applications where people have come out of the woodwork to air the applicant's dirty laundry. Sometimes that has caused me to go 'yikes I did not know that about this applicant' and DM both parties for details. To me, it's the same as when they go through political candidates' past statements and career history to see if they did anything reproachable or if they've experienced personal growth since then.
Thank you I appreciate it! I legit have no idea what I did wrong and I want to know because if I don't know what I did how can I fix it?
From when you first posted your helper application to now, I can see you've made a great effort into being a supportive staff member we'd love to see being part of the team. I think you'd make a great helper candidate
I do not think you should be staff yet. I feel like you arent ready, i do think youve made a bit of effort.
