Nice. This will slow the players that were farming this and gaining on me. Really it just means that I don't have to do the same now.
I'd have thought most moss farmers are selling moss to everyone who builds cropper farms. Mossy cobble was just a bonus method of earning an income from fsrming and creating materials. But sure let's focus on nerfing more gameplay features until we have a server that isn't fun to play anymore
This is true, most moss farmers do have small scale moss farms to sell their moss. Which is why I suggested to lower the mossycobble price, for those select few who had massive scale moss farms to generate thousands of mossycobble a minute, something which significantly impacted the server and which I also have statistical analysis and data to prove. I didn’t suggest anywhere to nerf any gameplay features, just lower the price of an item which was having a negative impact on the server! Hope this clears things up
As opposed to thousands of wheat, pumpkins melons per minute? It’s disappointing that everyone gets driven to do little more than build huge cropper farms. Players find other ways to make money and it gets killed off.
Yeah. Crophopper farms do not have a noticeable or measurable impact on the TPS per player, while the multiple instances of large-scale moss cobble farming operations I found did have a large impact, in some cases ranging from 2-4 TPS per player. If everyone was running these farms and the server was down to 5TPS, would you be so concerned about alternative money making methods? After the 1.19 update, there are actually an incredibly large amount of ways to make money other than crop farms. I love discussing these ways with other people and encourage anyone interested in them to reach out on discord!
