I personally think that these ideas (especially the reset) could have big ramifications on the player base for the .org server. I'm sure plenty of other players are like myself and joined the .org server BECAUSE it was easier. A lot of people have put work into making the money they do and building the things that they have (not everyone has fly  ) and would hate to see what they've done reset to nothing, even with a compensation of some sort. The idea of a challenge is understandable but people like me have already built things that they are proud of and were of course challenging to obtain (diamond armor, tools, etc. . .) and would never want to see lost. I understand the point you're trying to make and in the cases of the prices I agree but on a lesser scale. I agree with tsick on the case that if you want to make mob traps less effective then the server difficulty should be reverted back to what it was. Before the server was set to Hard I did have a tough time making money and did work for everything I have now. Nerf that spawn rate that is in effect right now and change some of the prices that you have suggested and I believe you have a great idea. But I just can't agree with an entire redo for almost everything that the .org server was created for. Of course I'm just one guy with an opinion.

Yes, I agree with Noobkilla, such expensive items are too easy to obtain, and it takes the fun out of the actual server. I think we need to change the economy for Skyblock.org.

The only reason why we want a restart is because of the potential leaking of old economy remnants into the new economy which would thusly break it. I would love to avoid a restart at all costs, and maybe there is a way to circumvent this issue ... but that would make it ridiculously more difficult to set up the economy, and it might lead us to have to settle for a lot of compensatory changes. To get the best economy system, a server restart would be incredibly advantageous.

In regards to your concerns about your old achievements ... if you already completed something on your island, what value does it have just sitting there? Sure it's a good memory, but once you're done, don't you wanna do something else? A restart would definitely make that new challenge available to you. The revamp is designed to create a completely new experience ... one which would be much more enjoyable than the old one.

Also, my thoughts on the difficulty is that we would separate the economy based on difficulty. Rather than relying on player trade, we would make enough shop options to let people choose their difficulty setting, much like newer video games. Instead of being forced into an ongoing, harsh market, we can let players start off by themselves (or with a friend) and worry about their own challenges in their own custom difficulty setting. My idea is that we'd have a single, base, sell shop. Everyone would make the same amount of money for the items that they sell. There would be different shops based on difficulty (also a special one for donors probably) and they would have their own unique prices (donor shop would probably have special items).

Anyways, like I said, we appreciate all the useful and coherent input.

I disagree entirely, why would you want to delete everybody's hard work? The best thing to do is probably go to the shop and change the signs. I spent a lot of time on my island and I'm NOT going to let this destroy all my hard earned work that some of us STILL USE!!!!

Ok first things first. I spent 65$ TO GET HIGHROLLER. And your just gonna take ALL my stuff away? This is ridiculous. Anyways, you should NOT restart the server. I've spent 4 moths on my island AND DON'T WANT TO LOSE IT!

OK, I like the idea of a player based difficulty. It would be very helpful to new users and old users a like as well as keeping the challenge alive. I still, however, must disagree with a restart (I do understand the problems that would arise with old economy interfering with the new) as I do not feel like I want to lose all of the things I've taken time to build. This has happened to me on numerous servers where I build something then suddenly as soon as I finish it gets taken away by some reset. I am certain I am not the only one.

Answering your question on the things I've built, I never stop improving. If I make something I never just stop and let it sit there. I find anyway to make it bigger and better. So far my farm has undergone renovations 8 times now. Obviously not everyone is like me and does that of course but that does not mean that there are people who don't. I never like to consider something done as I always feel it can be changed. I generally take on many projects at one time and shift my focus every so often.

And thank you for accepting my input.

I don't care about restarting personally, but I understand why people really don't like it. It's demoralizing. Why not ask other mods why they support a restart, and come up with a counter argument? Then maybe we'll get even closer to a solution. Anyways, the your notes have been rather useful. It's appreciated.

personally, i really don't care about the items in my island or stuff like that.
but the thing is, how will you guys compensate the time and effort we've put into our islands.

i've join skyblock, not to do the challenges, but to build. because the space and items are limited, making that as a challenge.

Please do but at the end of the day it wouldn't really matter because we're going to do this anyway. Everyone will be compensated we just didn't figure it out yet.
