This list is bad becuaue it unballances the economy and dramitcaly inflates almost everything is being raised in price. They should raise somethings like leather and make wool sellable but keep most thing the same to balance a pumpkin nerf is needed
I disagree about a pumpkin nerf. Many people put millions into pumpkin farms and nerfing them would just make people want to quit because all the time they spent on their farm is thrown under the bus.
Quite frankly Id quit if it was nerfed. I know a couple of other players who said they'd do the same if it were to happen.
Its been nerfed plenty of times with a /sell all. All it does is punish the rich and put beginners at a strong disadvantage
All of this should have been considered and the shop and prices overhauled when croppers were first implemented. It would have been clear then, the direction that things would go. There was always going to be a massive increase in crop production and it was always going to be pumpkins. Many people have invested a great deal of time and skybucks in pumpkin farms already and will likely lose out should change come now.
It's not inflation if half of the prices don't make sense to begin with. Blaze powder is $41.60 per stack when Blaze Rods are $50.56 per stack Cooked Porkchop is $30.08 a stack where Cooked Chicken is $22.40 a stack when you can buy infinite pig spawners from /shop compared to Chicken Spawners which you can only get from crates or very slow farming from warp passive Feather and eggs are both only $7.04 a stack when they also can only be achieved from Chicken Spawners from crates or very slow farming at warp passive String is $19.20 a stack when hostile mob farms barely even work to begin with. Slime balls are $46.08 a stack compared to Pumpkins at $56.96 a stack when not everyone can even make a slime farm. The prices aren't going to be inflated if half of them are too low to even make sense in the first place or just straight up make 0 sense like the blaze rods and powder. Increasing the prices of everything else won't inflate anything when no one even uses 95% of the shop AT ALL to begin with.
Made this thread last spring but it is more relevant now than ever. In order for the economy server to thrive, there has to be an overhaul on prices or the server will become a bland, oversaturated pool of pumpkin and melon farms.
Sadly this is what they made of the server with the introduction of croppers. Drogo did oppose them initially but everyone thought they were the best thing. Drogo doesn’t think a lot of fore thought was applied when they came out.
There were obviously grand plans, given all the unused stalls at /warp shop. Seems that’s been given up on or is maybe in the same pipeline as the “new server”.
Warp shop was always intended to be added to over time, but who knows if that will actually happen, however we absolutely need price overhauls to balance things out
If existing pumpkin farms are devalued by any change like this we may need a dirt buy back option for those who invested many millions in dirt as that was really the only sensible option for building income.
I would love a dirt buyback option, however the difficulties will come from the potential for island farmers to make a quick $
8 months, this thread has sat on forums. A suggesting spurred by an issue that clearly needs addressing. 8 months and not a single staff comment. Disappointing.
It’s pretty disappointing. Every player I have mentioned this to has been supportive of crop prices being rebalanced. I’m going to keep bumping the thread until something happens.
as far as i know is that the staff member can log every block and see where it comes from. either shop bought or player shop bought, but i could be wrong though
