Congrats to the winners! Since the winners participated with several entries, I'd suggest that you add which entry actually won
Excuse me, AmazingPlays, you did not say what time the contest ended, and when you say a deadline is a certain date, you usually give a time. And you did not give a time that our entries were due by. When you do not give a time for a deadline, but you give a date, it is assumed that you mean the end of that day, meaning you have the deadline day to finish building. It was not possible for us to get online at the time you ended the contest, as we were asleep. If you had told us that it was ending at that certain time maybe, a day or two in advance, or even in the original post like most people do, we would've gotten up earlier and showed you our entry.
Thank you for hosting this competition I believe this is the first building competition that I've won! I suggest either tagging the winners in this thread and including instructions on how to claim prizes or private messaging them. Let me know when a moderator may lock this thread.
I must agree that announcing the end of a competition that lasted 25 days only 57 minutes before the end seems quite unfair. I myself was here to read it by chance. I for myself don't care that much but I can understand why skizzors and I'mPhotor are annoyed.
Yeah, as Frederic said, it is not fair to announce the end of such a long competition only 1 hour in advance.
To all the comments arguing that the end of the competition was not fair, AmazingPlays hosted the competition and therefore had complete control over when it ended, regardless of if all entries had been submitted. Entries were open for a long time before today, so there should have been plenty of time to enter. If the deadline was inconvenient for you, then you either should've entered before or accepted that this competition does not revolve around you. In short, AmazingPlays should not be having to defend his choice of end time nor be receiving such criticism for his "unfair" competition. Thank you AmazingPlays for hosting this and giving generous prizes
I know this is over now, but if you need materials on .Net I could help you out a bit? Congrats to the winners! :]
