Oh wow, that build looks great! It’s a miracle how you managed to get your hands on a 3080. They seem to sell out instantly as soon as I add one to my cart.

Hope it turns out a great computer! :D Even if it seems poor in the end to you, it's the fact that you built it that counts. :3

I want to steal PC's computer and sell it for money to fund my own custom pc
    Quick tips:

    1. Stick with AMD unless you have an endless supply of money
    2. Dual channel (2x4, 2x8, 2x16, etc.) memory is always better than single (1x4, 1x8, 1x16 etc.)
    3. Get 16 GB of ram, minimum is 8 but I always go for 16 GB because your ram tends to get eaten up quickly
    4. Find someone who has a copy of the recent windows version otherwise you're stuck with paying over $100
    5. Spend more money on your graphics than on your cpu (don't overkill it tho)

A Raspberry Pi configured to be a resource monitor works just as good. ;)

Nah but seriously, love this setup. Makes me wish I had the spare income to throw at some new parts as I haven't upgraded anything since 2017...

You just gave me a fabulous idea, I just have no clue how to do it

Set up my other laptop to give me complete resource monitoring of my main laptop through ssh or other means

again, I have no clue how I'd be able to do it - it'd be easy if I ran arch as my main OS on this but I use Windows for the reason of game compatability, so sshing into it and running htop is out of the question. I'm not sure if there's a package on the main repositories or aur that does exactly that, though....

    but oh that'd be sick
