My PvP Arena

 

The Hidden Forest
My third and last submission for this competition. The build is located at /p h Roed on the Mineverse creative server.

The theme I chose to work with was a pretty simple landscape with all the basic techniques, and then added a few giant palm trees to really give the build an extraordinary look, and to add those tropical vibes to it. The steep cliffs surrounding the forest really adds a nice look to the build, and gives the effect of a hidden forest.

I also decided, due to criticism on my last trailers, to make two separate videos this time, one using shaders, mods, and different effects, and one in vanilla Minecraft. To get a view of how the build actually looks, scroll down to the second video, in which I didn't use any additional effects.

It was so fun to be able to make this with Darkify, RobloxianRoblox and Km, thank you so much for staying with me through this crazy process. Having to put up with me for at least 3 hours a day must be exhausting, how did you survive the weekend of 15?!​

The build provides a variety terrains and open areas to PVP in, as well as a (not so secret) system of pathways (sewers) that connect the entire build together. ​

You know that all of the thing flying in the air will disappear because it's outside the 100*100 area

The arena is pretty basic build and overused design patterns. Still, I see you haven't used any plugins building so it must have been taking some time. A Little bit simple but is one of the better still.

 

I totally agree with you. When I saw this I was amazed of how well it looked, but when I took a closer look and analysed the video, I realised that he did not use anything but the most standard and basic building techniques. The arena outcome turned out good, and looked well over all, but the details and so on were something that can be improved.

Also the theme in my opinion is too mainstream, he didn't come up with anything unique. The sand theme bothers me, mostly because it is a pretty boring looking design over all, but also because at least 50% of all servers have used it at some point.

 

Think we should be able to see it with own eyes instead of what he wants us to see before voting it.

 

Gentleman Johnny Listen boys. I respect you guys and what you've built. But all of what you're saying is just a matter of opinon. I've built what you guys have built before, it's nothing new. So you can't accuse someone of making a "pretty basic build & overused design" okay? If that were true then everyone would be making stuff that I make. This is a contest and they already have people who will be judging the builds so there is no need for you two to criticize ones work. Again, I respect you both and good luck in the contest.
