Oh no, I understand joke perfectly. If that was the case, I wouldn't have rated that rude. I rated it rude because she's being friendly and actually telling us why she's resigning. She just lost a relative, and then you throwing a joke/insult (more like an insult) is just completely uncalled for and very insensitive. How would you feel had someone done that to you? Probably not good, right? She respects you, never did anything, so she at least could receive the same from you.
