Metallica is the only metal band I like, since they dont over-do their screaming, you can hear the lyrics along with the heavy instruments. I listen much more rock than metal though
Sometimes in the screaming you can hear the agony of the singer, you can feel the emotion of the song. Sometimes understanding all the lyrics isn't even necessary. You can feel the music pulse through your veins and everything else just melts.
