Your in-game and discord tag: In-game: Adriansop Discord: Moony#1239 (nicknamed as Adriansop) What time zone are you in? GMT+1 Can you speak any additional languages? Fluent in Dutch and English. Moderate in French. Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? In-game F2 function for screenshots, OBS studio for recording and chatcraft (android app) for taking screenshots of chat only. How long can you be active on our platforms everyday? I can usually expend at least a couple hours a day. I don't chat a lot but I come on Discord regularly as well. My schedule changes quite often but despite that most of the time I’m available during the evening. When did you first join Skyblock? Started in 2015 and played for a little while. Returned in 2018. Have you ever been banned on any platform? Once on request and once for a chargeback, both on Skyblock Survival in 2019. Do you have any past moderation experience? As a senior I participated as assistant to take a test on freshmen on their speaking skills in one or more languages (went for French). I'd give instructions for a certain real-world scenario to prepare the students for a conversation with me in French. If anything was unclear I'd do my best to explain it to them. At the end I'd grade them as well. =Why do you think you should become a staff member?= I've played lots and have gotten to know my way around the server. I'm familiar with both Skyblock Survival and Economy and frequently visit both. I'm also familiar with all the rules on the server (in-game, forums, discord and code of conduct). I've noticed that the team is currently missing a fluent Dutch speaker, and I'm hoping to fill that role. Below you’ll find things I would bring to the team. Knowledgeable I’m well informed about the server’s mechanics and commands and I know how to use them to help players with questions or general advice e.g. how to earn grass or set up shops. I have no trouble reminding players of our rules, or to guide them to relevant links such as discord and the forums. I'm not very confident with discord's functionality but I hope to build up experience for relevant things as I go. Teamwork Being able to successfully work together with others is not something I'm natural at but it has become increasingly important throughout my studies and I've participated in plenty of group assignments where teamwork is vital (sports too actually). So I have here and there experience in communication, support, results and accountability. Usually everyone lacks something; I believe that people making up for other's deficiencies is what makes for good teamwork. Open minded I’m open to new perspectives, ideas and opinions. Having a receptive mind helps seeing the factors that contribute to a problem. I make sure to respect everyone’s view and consider the possibility that I’m wrong or may change my perspective. For example whenever an argument arises between two people and they express their differences I don’t pick sides; it’s natural for people to have contradicting opinions. I listen to everyone’s perspective and hold no prejudice doing so. Problem-solving What I do as a student is finding solutions to difficult or complex issues. In practice it’s mostly technical; I write algorithms in various coding languages for tasks such as sorting numbers, winning tic-tac-toe, navigation (like google maps), DNA matching and natural language processing. In my free time I use some techniques I learn in minecraft for many things redstone related but also command block creations and customized singleplayer maps, and I recently got into creating minecraft plugins. In short I’m a little technical and as a moderator I can help in various areas regarding troubleshooting or playtesting plugins, warps and other server related features. Do you meet all the requirements for staff? Yes Thank you for taking your time to review my application. Feel free to leave a reply and I'll carefully read your comment.
