if you're flying or doing something but phantoms swarm you and you don't have /god or a bed on ya, you should just be able to do something like /sleep and it resets mob spawns and changes your time to day.

i mean if u have a rank do /ptime day or /ptime @day or whatever time ya want and or shut mobs off unless u have a mob farm that needs to be on

 

Ptime only changes the daylight for your client, not actual island time.
And people can afk at mob farms. But dislike the phantoms.

Sleeping in a bed would be the go to answer, but that's not always practical.

Couple of examples could be when mining blocks, and you don't have a bed near or with you, but phantoms keep swarming infront of you and reset the mining again. Or just trying to build when in the zone and focused, but phantoms keep being a pest lol. Also, having the sleep command to reset other hostile natural spawns would be good too.

The idea isn't really to change time, as mentioned ptime works for client time. But /sleep could reset all hostile natural spawns anywhere you are on your island. Meaning, no flying back and forth trying to find a bed when you're doin some mega build or projects.

Aace had the idea, and I thought it would be a great suggestion

 

thanks for finding a response to this, boston had some pretty good reasons so i didn't respond.

 

No need to unnecessary trivialize things, we already have a system in place that kills all phantoms when you click your bed which is somewhat close to vanilla behavior. You can also just click your bed bed before you go mining which will reset your rest timer and therefor delay phantom spawns.
