Sorry but I disagree with a lot that was mentioned here. I believe the staff team does a great job in making sure that bans are fair. We don't just ban players with no warning or evidence. Mistakes can happen but a lot of information is logged and there is no way a staff member can ban a player for no reason and it be unnoticed by other staff including myself.

When it comes to permanent bans those are usually mine or I gave the ok. We are more than lenient with the majority of the community in giving temporary bans and second chances and we really only give out a handful of permanent bans a year.

In reference to the three players perm banned. Again that was my decision based on what was uncovered. The exploit the users took advantage of was purposely orchestrated for quite some time and I felt was an effort to hurt the server. By taking advantage of a known issue in Minecraft where only 32,768 maps can be created, it seemed the users took the time to individually craft 8,000 maps and found an opportunity to spam generate them at once to quickly hit that limit. By doing so, all new maps that would be generated would be blank/empty and old maps may become bugged/overwritten. This was a lot of preparation and wasn't for fun, considering you'd have to gather 32,000 iron ingots and 8,000 redstone, craft those into 8,000 compasses, and craft once again with 64,000 papers in order to do this.

Obviously this is why we run multiple backups daily and it took us a few hours to fix but i'm sure everyone here would be saying the opposite if we actually were not able to do so. However as we mentioned before, we know some users may be young and people change. There's no hard feelings, but rules are rules as well. The users may appeal the bans in the future but it truly depends after a length of time, if the user had prior bans/offenses, and if the staff believe it is the right choice.

That is wholly not true Noobcrew. Drogo was banned a few months ago with not a word to him and never, was any evidence or proof of any wrong doing put forward. This of course would have been impossible because it didn't happen, at least it wasn't Drogo's doing.

And my friend, who has since quit in disgust, was caught up in it as staff simply assumed he was an alt of mine. But as Kera said in her own words. "There is no evidence anywhere"....

So yes, bans are certainly issued with no warnings or evidence.

The main reason Drogo has put his two cents in on this thread is because in Calidre's appeal, Kera has judged him, claiming “multiple offences” but cannot explain what they were and it seems that they just don't exist. This lack of information or simply incorrect information, just stunk too much like Drogo's ban.

Sorry to be that person but, didn't Kerahna say "There is no evidence anywhere that the account ... is anything other than another botting account used by Drogo", as in, all evidence points to the account only being used by you as a botting account. I don't think she meant she had no evidence.

I see it as a community, yes, and I think it's bizarre that we're still discussing this at all considering the effect any of these problems had on the server versus either time to fix (Cali and folks) or versus individual actions (Mai). I also agree that staff should talk to all involved players, be transparent, etc.

What I was saying is that they are completely covered by the terms and conditions, and because this is just a game -- no matter how good the community is -- law isn't strict like it has to be with a business like Walmart or Amazon. I agree that the community is the main reason to play Skyblock, as I would already have left the server if it was not. The community was amazing when I first played during classic's era, and the community is still amazing even after the years it took me to come back, even if nobody I knew back in 2015 is still playing. But that does not change the fact that, as an online server on a video game, it's entirely up to the staff what happens with regards to punishments, especially as per the T&Cs. My statement was solely because I don't think this is in any way a question of legality, like you seemed to suggest.

To say there is no evidence that he was not just a botting account of mine, is the same as saying there is no evidence that he was. It would appear that Noobcrew acknowledged this in the end.

Nono, she didn't say there is no evidence that he was not jus a botting account of yours, she said there that there is no evidence to point that the account was used for anything else, meaning that all evidence points back to you.

I think it's clear you may have misunderstood what Kerahna said. Your overall point, I have no opinion on, however that specific point regarding Kerahna saying she has no evidence is false and I dislike seeing people misunderstand and/or twist words (not saying you are) to fit the narrative that they would like to portray rather than revealing the actual truth. I'm down to hear anyone out, but, that is not what Kerahna said nor meant in that screenshot.

The account is linked to you and considered an alt by being under the same ip. This can of course be just another account or be a friend, sibling, or anyone else on the same network but there is no way for us to know for sure so we simply gave the benefit of the doubt in saying we can't actually confirm if it was you or the "friend" you mentioned that was affected.

The benefit of the doubt should have been given before a permanent ban

If a user is banned, their "alts" become banned too.

Anyways i'll be closing this thread now. I think enough has been said and there's no need to keep stirring up drama and/or talking about irrelevant things.
