As AJZZ987 said, you’re limited in what you can “buy” if you’re after an entire farm. You might be better off paying people to build yours for you.
I have no problem trading through chest shops to gain grass blocks. There are many players that run shops much larger than mine and do pretty well.
Cropper farms only make you money while you are on line, so if you don't have the time, then you can't really profit from a farm.
