Looks like war is escalating beyond Gaza and Israel. The Middle East is in serious trouble…

Well, you can say that. But Houthi does not have the right to attack ships passing through the red sea whatsoever. That needs to stop first

Only reason they're doing it cause they want a ceasefire in Gaza. They said they'll stop if the bombs on Gaza stop. Plus it's their own waters so they have the right to do whatever they want there

They do not own the Red Sea, Houthi’s aren’t even a real government and are just a big group of ‘freedom fighters’. Unless Yemen and the rest of the middle east wanna be dragged into this war they should really stop toying with greater forces

They said they would if there's a ceasefire. The houthis know the only language these "greater forces" understand is money. So targeting ships is a clever move. I never said they owned the red sea. Only water that is theirs is the Bab Al-Mandab strait. They share it with dijibouti. Otherwise the rest of the water further is international water

You said ‘it’s their own waters’ so you sort of said it was their own. They have rights of passage (right to free movement of goods through the Red Sea) and are quite clearly violating them with these attacks. Attacking US/UK ships does nothing for the ceasefire movement, i’m not saying i don’t want a ceasefire but this is a very stupid move that will result in more tension and MORE fighting

It does something for the ceasefire. When people are protesting peacefully for months all across the world to call a ceasefire and nothing's been done to prevent hundreds of Palestinians deaths that could've been saved if there was a ceasefire.

So the Houthis decided to take action by putting pressure on them, on their capitalism money. They did attack the ships but most of the time they shot next to the ship as a warning, as well as no one died from those attacks until the US and UK started bombing and killed a few Yemenis.

So yes, this shows how meaningless human, Palestinian lives are compared to their precious cargo ship.

Rather than the US call for a ceasefire and stop sending weapons to isnotreal so the Houthis would also stop their attacks, they decided to bomb them.
