this is a very difficult question to answer
I think it comes down to the way it is prepared, a solid macaroni and cheese either baked or creamy cheese melted is always extraordinarily good,

but on the other hand I feel as though spaghetti can be done very well too. A solid sauce with a meat component can skyrocket the taste of spaghetti

so if the debate is down to the pure pasta by itself and which I prefer based on shape and functionality, I think I’ll go with spaghetti because it is more versatile and can be used in more recipes easily

I prefer macaroni just for it’s pasta. At my house we use macaroni noodles for almost every pasta related dish that isn’t stuffed shells or spaghetti. Even sometimes we’ll have Macghetti, which is just replaced the spaghetti with macaroni

the macghetti sounds like something I will have to try at some point. I think my favorite kind of pasta to use in a dish is probably linguini because I like its texture the best, but truth be told, I haven’t found a pasta I don’t love yet
